Texas-Ohio St this week will add some more drama to the poll next week
The hotter the heat, the harder the steel, no pressure no diamonds, we compete, we win

We are the next decade of the Washington Redskins

It's nice to see half of the ACC in that poll.

GT is a team on the move, that was a great game they played. The ACC is awesome to watch. All the games were great, its a good time to be an ACC fan. VT how good does it feel to be in the ACC, just look at the little East you left behind. I don't know how WV go one single vote, they and the rest of the little East suck!

I was really disappointed MD didn't get a single vote. I wasn't expecting them to get more than a couple, but come on. There's no way they aren't in the top 40 in the country. We better get a little love after we beat Clemson this weekend. At least the coaches gave them 2 votes, I wonder who the other coach was besides the Fridge to vote for them.

Polls should not be done at all until after the first month, though. Every year now, there's always at least one team screwed simply because they were ranked low in the retarded arbitrary preseason polls. Let SI and the other sports mags do their preseason polls for the fans, but nothing official until Oct.

That's a big jump for the Irish. If they win at Ann Arbor they'll probaly get into the top 10 lol.

The BCS rankings now start later to prevent just that. The season's first BCS standings will be released Oct. 17. The AP poll, which had been used in the BCS formula since 1998, has been replaced by the Harris Interactive poll which will rank the top 25 teams on a weekly basis, starting Sept. 25

If the terps can beat Clemson, they'll be in the top 25-35 next week.
