    Default Monday Night Game

    Monday Night Football

Just wanted to give a few thoughts about the upcoming game against the skins this Monday Night.

Redskins are in dissaray. They won their opener, but in the worst possible way. They managed to beat one of the worst teams in the league without scoring a touchdown. To add insult to injury, they lost their kicker and starting QB.

I dont see their subs doing any better against the tuff Cowboys Defense. The cards have been dealt. The defense is loaded and only getting better with each weeks adjustments to the new 3-4. Chances are that their backup QB will be confused at best on how to beat one of the best defenses in the league.

Portis is good for sure, but the boys successfully took Tomlinson out of the game, portis is not half the player he is. I anticipate the boys stuffing him and letting the secondary and pass rush win the game with turnovers. Remember, the Redskins recievers will be trying to find number 31 instead of putting their hands on the ball.

Julious Jones didn’t really get a chance to get going in the first game. He made some great plays, but he is still due for a 150 yard game with 3 tds. I believe Monday night against the Redskins is the perfect opportunity for him to get it going.

The redskins defense will have to make a horrible choice that many defenses will have to soon make. Do they focus on the passing game and get carved up by the run, or do they focus on Jones and get gashed by the weapons in the passing game?

If you bring that safety up to play the run, you are going to leave Whitten one-on-one with a linebacker. Thats a missmatch. Remember, Quincy Carter isn’t the one making the reads, its one of the most prolific passers in NFL history reading that safety.

I wouldn’t want to have to decide how I wanted to die either. Maybe they can focus on their backup QB and kicker mess to keep their mind off of the problem.

    Actual Prediction:

Cowboys’ Defense scores more points than the Washington Redskins.

    Dallas Cowboys: 38
    Washington Redskins: 9

This one could get Ugly, fast.

I got the Cowboys winning, but not 38-9. Cowboys 21-10 or even closer than that. The Redskins have a tough defense & I see Bledsoe making a few mistakes.

Keep in mind, I'm not saying that all the boys points will come from the offense. I'm betting that 14 -21 come from the defensive side of the ball.

You guys have to be realistic. The redskins barely played average against a QB that hasn't unpacked his suitcase in the pros.

It's a pretty safe bet that a team heading to the playoffs can score 2 or 3 TDs on them from the offensive side of the ball.

Also, keep in mind, you guys just made a QB change in the first week of the season. That doesn't really give us the idea that your offense is very stable.

I anticipate the redskins offense having a few problems turning the ball over to a revved up D.

The boys focus is on running the ball. The passing offense is scaled down to be fool proof.

The only problem Bledsoe would have is if the skins sit back and make him find 3rd and 4th recievers. If that is the case, the boys wont have to throw the ball very much. Jones will slicing them in half.

I'm not here to cause trouble. I sincerely see a blowout game. I calmly explained why I see it. Lets debate it.

I'm a Cowboy fan & I think you can throw all of the predictions out the window when you put these two teams together. I have watched the Redskins for years look better than the Cowboys and they never seem to beat them. This year they seem pretty even with the slight edge to Washington on the defense side & a slight edge to the Cowboys on the offensive side.
The key to me in this game is Drew Bledsoe & Mark Brunnell. Whoever makes the less mistakes wins. Portis & Julius Jones cancel each other out & everywhere else seems even.

I agree about throwing out the predictions, but that doesn't make for very interesting redskin week predictions.

Hahahahahahaha, is this guy for real? 150 rushing yards and 3TD's against our defense? Moron.
