Thread: Question regarding MNF doubleheader...

    Default Question regarding MNF doubleheader...

OK... I live in PA, NYC is about lil more than an hour away. I see the advertisements for the MNF games every hour it seems....what bothers me is the little blurb in the corner "markets may vary". If you are telling me that I am not going to see my Redskins because I live relatively close to the Giants stadium, I will seriously loose my mind. I heard rumor that they will not air the Skins game up here at the normal 9pm time, but keep the stupid Giants game on...Can anyone out there confirm any of this, cause if i have to drive to Maryland to find a sports bar to see my Skins, I will.

I believe the giants game will be on Channel 8 from 7:30-9:00 then move to ESPN. the Skins game will come on at 9:00-12:00. I live In CT and really really hope this is true. This is what is supposed to happen but don't hold me to that.

Hmm Allentown is closer to NYC than it is to DC... Chances are theyll flip you over to the North East broadcasting which would be the Giants...Its possible that you would see the Redskins but hell I wouldnt take my chances with THIS game. Load up your stuff tomorrow and drive to a bar in Baltimore

From an e-mail response I got from ESPN this past week.

Also check out the link below that:

    >Yes, viewers in the New York and New Orleans market areas will receive
    >the Skins/Cowboys game on ESPN; the game will then move back to ABC upon
    >conclusion of the Saints/Giants game in those markets.

Freak, so basically you are saying no matter what...it will be on ESPN or ABC. Thats fine with me, I really dont care which channel I watch it on, I just dont want to see them running the Giants game on both. This was our Monday night game, while I feel for the hurricane victims and respect the relief effort they are doing during the broadcast of the game...pisses me off that it messes with the one single MNF game we have this year.
