Thread: CD-RW Driver Help

    Default CD-RW Driver Help

I went on trip for 3 weeks and when I came back I found out that my CD-RW wasn't working. In the device manager, it says that the driver is corrupt or missing. I'm not really sure what to do. I tried googling for the driver but I found nothing. My DVD ROM has the same problem.

    CD Drive: ASUS CRW-4824AH
    DVD Drive: HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8162B

    Thanks for the help.

Can't you just use the restore function?

You can go to system and update it or choose one from a list if it is listed.

Sounds like you picked up a virus unless your hardwares crapping out.

Here is a link to the driver for your cd-rw, just plug in your drive info.

You should be able to find your dvd driver here.

I would unplug both of the drives. Let the computer start up, then shut it down. Plug the CD back in. Restart computer and hopefully Windows will find the driver and install it automatically.
