    Default Stop blaming the officials

The Safety: It's the tuck rule you ninnies. Don't blame the officials for calling the play correctly. Blame the rules committee if it bothers you that much (though when it happens to a Redskin QB you won't be whining then...)

The refs: Some calls didn't go our way. OK, I agree. But on our first TD drive don't forget we had a 3rd down completion to a guy that was clearly out of bounds (his knee landed out of bounds!) and they didn't overturn it via the challenge. We don't score there and its 14-0.

On our last drive we got a phantom holding call called on one of their rookie corners that was very suspect (though later Al Wilson had a PI against our receiver that should have been called). Still, bottom line, without their help 2 of our TD drives don't happen.

So overall it seems like both teams got about equal breaks from the officials and in the end the team that played just a little better (at home) won. Let's bounce back and own the Chiefs!

His other hand touched the ball negating the tuck rule, it was a saftey.

Apparently the refs disagree with you. But hey, what do they know? I'm sure your unbiased view of that play is correct...

There should be only two rules.

    No guns. No knives.

I think you should be banned for using the word "ninnies" on a football message board...

Same old homers come out after every loss to blame the officials. It gets old but they can't except the fact that we don;'t have a playoff team. Its always the officials....its never the playcalling....its never the rediculous running scheme that haas speedster Portis pausing in the backfield to wait for blockers so he can get another 3 yards. Its never the lack of a pass rush. Its never our weak punting. Its never our weak return men.....who can't return a ppunt or kickoff but once every 12 years. Its never Brunell who turns the ball over EVERY game without fail. Its ALWAYS the officials.

    Its a conspiracy.

Dude, that rIdiculous running scheme got Portis 103 yards on 20 carries. In case you're a little slow upstairs, which by your posts I imagine you are, that's 5 yards per carry. Just in case you forgot, Portis averaged a little over 3 yards per carry last year. Yeah, really rIdiculous.

The turnover was a mix-up...Brunell was on fire all game. You're just a hater who won't be satisfied until we're 3-13 and you're proven right. Well, unfortunately for you, this team is good. Despite what you're preaching, this team will make the playoffs this year. Philly was exposed this week. We exposed Dallas 3 weeks ago. We beat a strong Seahawks team.

Go post on the Cowgirls board or something, troll. Mods, how about giving this guy the assjester avatar???

It just pisses me off that someone could watch that game and not be excited for the rest of the season! Only two bad plays, which will be corrected. This game was a very good omen for the rest of the season.

I couldn't agree more. Losses always suck. But for some reason, this one was different. I just looked at all the things we did well. All the questions we seemed to answer. The fact that Denver is a beast at home, and with a couple of breaks we win hands down. I dunno. This game just gave me the confidence that we can play with anyone, anywhere, anytime.

When that last drive started, I was thinking, "OK Joe, what's our two-point play?" We were on our dadgum 6 yard line! That's a level of confidence I haven't had in a Redskin team for a LONG time. This team is special. I believe. And I think our players do too.

and there was the missed Hold on Griffin on Bells first TD

The Missed block in the back on his second TD

    Pattens bogus offensive PI

The Missed PI on Wilson mugging Cooley

    as well

    hardly a well officated game

also when did the rules allow using replay on penalties (Brunell's over the LOS call). I thought it was only for possesion?

I think they're are a few penalties that can be reviewed, and illegal forward pass is one of them. Remember in the San Fran game last year when Taylor gave the forward lateral to whoever? San Francisco challenged it, if I recall correctly. Same deal.

    but that involes possesion

Brunells was an incomplete pass, if it was a completed pass... then it could be reviewable

Your an idiot, the Redskin's are just as much a playoff contender as any other team in the NFC.

All I got to say is that we just run 447 yards of offense against a team that has not allowed over 250 yards of offense in their house after playing teams like KC and SD AND in very bad weather conditions.

This team is just a few plays away from scoring points and having a top 10 offense, which along with our D would make us deep playoffs contenders if not SB contenders.

We lost with just two points after we had a field goal negated (yes Novac made the 54 yarder) because of a penalty call, had another one blocked and had a turnover on that lead to a TD AND 10 penalties. All these negative plays in Denver and still we were a "Gold hand" away from being tied and into overtime. This team is for REAL like I have said it would be since before preseason.
