...its been a DAMN long time since I could last say this, but I think our RB situation is the best it has been since 92. If Portis went down tomorrow (knock on wood) I would have total confidence in Ladell's ability to play as a #1 back. Adding Rock in to the mix for short yardage, smashmouth rushing, I do believe we have the leagues most solid RB core. Just my opinion though.

Well I am very comfortable with our RB situation, however no we do not have the best RB in the league. Steelers, and Chiefs are probably the cream of the crop.

Never said we had the best, just the most solid. We have a damn fine back in CP, a more than suitable #2/fill in/3rd down back, and a good short yardage back.

I liked Nemo during the preseason, but until I see him more, I'm gonna have to leave him out.

Definitely a strong squad. If our guys can make some key blocks they can put up serious numbers.

I love ladell, I don't get worried when he's back there. There's not much of a drop off when he rushes the ball, and sometimes he's better than portis. I don't trust rock or nemo with the ball, they are liable to fumble on any given play.

i dunno what you guys are talking about, I prefer having Portis back there. Sure Betts puts some good 10-15 yard gains out there, but those are rather rare. He got them against San Francisco only cause they were in total disarray at the end. I remember seeing him get stuffed, and in that case, he isnt as likely to make a play as Portis in my opinion at least.

i think portis is better than betts..but this is a real good problem to have. both are very capable of winning and making plays. we can win with either and therefore im real comfortable with our RB situation

Ladell is a nice #2 and could start for a few teams, but better than Portis? No way.
