Stop Blitzing Please!!!

Alright when we blitzed tonight we didn't have any success. We have krazy blitzing from corners and it isn't working. Time to keep those guys in pass coverage.

Plus we end up getting burnt if we blitz the corners. (Taylor not in was part of it)

Its one thing if your actually getting to
the QB (no sacks)...

It would have been better to play coverage,
like Minnesota did with Eli... 1TD, 4 Ints while
mostly doubling Burress and Shockey...

We do not have the quality D backs to keep coverage so we blitzing like we did.

Conversely, we did not have the DBs to survive downfield throws on a well picked up blitz by the offensive line. Truly a double-edged sword.

I agree. Gregg Williams needs to stop blitzing so much. Offenses know that the skins' are going to blitz and they do it anyway. Last year, nobody expected to see that skins' play such good defense. Now, teams are not surprised and no how to counter our defense. GW needs to mix it up a little bit so we can get those turnovers.

Heres how it goes guys.

Blitzing and getting to the QB > Not blitzing > Blitzing and not getting to the QB.

Its obvious which one we are right now. When you are up by a touchdown with little time left and you cant seem to get to the QB, doesnt it make sense to drop a few more guys in coverage so that you arent leaving walt Harris and Carlos Rogers one-on-one on EVERY play?

The most deciding factor between a good team and a bad team is pressure. You guys don't create pressure with your front 4, therefor blitz packages are required. If you sit back with 7 in coverage and create no pressure, and decent NFL QB will tear you up. That's with or without Sean Taylor
