If one person runs 42 yards in the same amount of time as another person runs 40 yards, who ran faster?
Your math doesnt count lateral movement that Dorsett had to do to avoid tacklers aroud the line of scrimmage. Green knew his teammates where going to get smoked as soon as Dorsett got the ball. Watch the tape and you can see Green take off on a great angle before Dorsett is into the secondary. Trying to use straight line distance that Green ran to the distance that Dorsett ran makes almost no sense as a means of measurement.

TonyD33 is epic fail, just like Tony Dorsett, trying to get away from the great Darrell Green.

    This video is still up

At 2:25, Green is about a yard behind and several yards to the side of Dorsett. Dorsett has an open field, Green has two players in front of him.

At 2:30, Green is over a yard behind and a couple yards to the side of Dorsett. Dorsett is at the 30 with an open field ahead, Green just passes his teammates. Dorsett turns his head and sees Green.

The rest is a simple run-down from behind. Dorsett tries a stiff-arm at about the 16, Green takes him down at the 5.

Simply put, Green had no angle. It was Green running Dorsett down from behind.

Shame that Dorsett tries to lie about it. Shame that he and some dallass fans are STILL butt-hurt about it.

1st post btw, hi from England

The fact that Green took off at full speed before Dorsett could is what people are missing. Dorsett couldnt run full speed as soon as he got the ball. He had to find the hole and avoid tacklers. Meanwhile, Green could run full speed in open field in a straight line with a great angle. If Dorsett was doing the same under the same circumstances, I would give it to Green. But that just wasn't how it was and the film shows that.

You seriously came back here after almost a YEAR, dug this up, just to make the same exact argument that's already been debunked three posts up?

    That's pathetic.

    LOL. U still mad?

Face facts. Dorsett got downfield over 20 yds., had every opportunity to put on the burners. Did so. And STILL got run down by the great Darrell Green.

Video of a great man that guys like Dorsett could only HOPE to be compared to: LINK
