Sonny was one of the greatest QB's ever to play the game. Never had a good D and unfortunately played for Allen...who despised him. Sonny told Allen in so many words that Allen had no clue about offense nor about quarterbacking...hense Kilmer who was no Sonny!! Kilmer was a tough sob and a decent QB but there was no comparison. Sonny is in the HOF and the only way Kilmer gets there is to buy a ticket to bring his grandchildren. The great Lombardi only coached one season and said Sonny was the greatest QB he ever saw and this from a guy that had HOF-Bart Starr!

I am going with Doug Williams....
I voted for Rypien.
My favorite is Sonny Jurgensen. Great competitor, and the BEST passing arm I have seen to this day.
I am not old enough to have seen most of these guys play so for the time I have been watching I voted for Rypien.
Three people picked Jay Schroeder. Hmmm.
I say that the best thing Jay Schroeder ever did, besides leading the Skins to a win against the Giants after Theismann broke his leg, was being just good enough to entice the Raiders to trade him for Jim Lachey. Gotta be the best trade for in Redskins history.
Yes, even better than Moss for Coles.
Even though I never saw him play, it's hard to not select Baugh. He won us our first championship. He was the first player ever inducted into the HOF(because it went alphabetically). He also is often picked by so called experts as the best player of all time(Steve Sabol being one of those).
Plus I have his throwback jersey.
WHAT??????? You have to be kidding me...he had a great arm and a unbelievable second quarter in the Super Bowl...aside from that he was marginal.Originally Posted by Loki

Seriously though, my favorite is Sonny.

Eddie LeBaron played for the Skins in the 1950s, and he was 5'7" and 165 lbs, but he was a ball-handling wizard. He once faked a play-action handoff, the back ran into the line, the refs blew the whistle, play stopped, and everyone looked around for the ball. Then it turned out that LeBaron still had it, 10 yards behind the LOS, waiting for his receivers to continue their routes. Not sure if they gave the team the down back. He was a master of deception. He was a good but not great QB, and the teams he played for never did much.
First thing I thought of when I saw the poll too.Originally Posted by FedEx_Skinz

how come nobody likes rypen when he led us to our best season
really only one loss that whole yr, the last game vs eagles we had back ups
Brunell because he is the one who is taking us to the ball this season!
I have seen a lot of great Redskin QBs and I can't really pick a faavorite.
Now ask me who has disappointed me the most and I could cry a river.
