Warning to all driving into philly on sunday

For all of you guys driving into philly for the game, I suggest you get there before 7pm or close to game time. It is new years and the mummers parade will be going on most of the day. For those of you who have no clue what the mummers parade is, it is a big philadelphia tradition. It is a huge 32 block parade all the way down Broad street. Main philadelphia streets will be blocked off by cops, fans , ans mummers. It will be rough getting to the stadium. Just a heads up for u guys. If you happen to catch any of the parade root for the SOuth Philadelphia string band (the one i'm in)

BTW - I don't like parades, but the Mummers parade has got to be the worst one I've ever seen. A philly tradition? I'll stick with Pat's cheesesteaks.

I called the Eagles, and they said the parade does not come down as far as the stadium, so no worries. Also, the stadium is right there next to I-95. From the south, just take the Broad St Exit, and shazaam, the lots are to your immediate right. What could be easier? Just be sure you ARRIVE EARLY.

Correct. Right off the highway into the sportsplex lots. I've never been to an Eagles game but have been to tons of Phillies games, and it couldn't be much easier to get there. If traffic is good and you step on it, 2 1/2 hours.

Just leave early, so you do not have to worry about rushing. There are going to be a ton of cops out on the roads. Take your time between Baltimore and Perryville Md. I wouldn't go faster than 75 mph on 95. They are everywhere.

Interstate 95 north of Baltimore has been a speedtrap for the last couple of years, The great state of Maryland has a revenue enhancement program on that stretch of highway, so please be careful thru there. Last year when I was working the sports circuit I would see many radar traps along that part of 95.

Well, if that's true, then the people in the office of the Philadelphia Eagles are a bunch of idiots, because they specifically told me that we could park in the Wachovia lots, and that they'd be open starting at 7 AM. I plan on being there by late morning anyway...
