Well, they are the ultimate West Coast Offense. They live off that little dink and dunk stuff across the middle. That is why their QB is so highly rated. Very high % passing scheme.

We need to shut that middle down. Keep the hands high (we've been doing that) on the pass rush and spy the middle (especially on third and long). Finally, if they do catch it across the middle, make em pay with devastating hits. That's where ST comes in.

Here is great play for that. Third and long, fake the blitz down the middle then drop into short coverage. They try the slant and its a pick.

Here's one thing I didn't get last weekend. Tampa has OBVIOUS blitz comin. Do we audible a play or even call one in advance to beat the blitz with a fake block and dump off to Cooley? No, never. We KNOW the blitz is comin and we have Moss running deep post patterns.

Make em PAY for blitzing and they will stop blitzing.

Sounds good to me I do think the defense is going to need an effort like they gave against the Bucs however have to be very careful with the blitzes I think we have to pick and choose when to blitz.

Do you think the '85 Bears fans were talking about what game they had to bring to win the Super Bowl over the Pats? Of the '86 Giants over the Broncos?

We are a DOMINANT team and it doesn't matter what game plan Gibbs brings. If its a conservative game plan we win 10-7. If its an aggressive game plan we win 31-24.

It doesn't MATTER! Our #9 D was EARNED. The Seattle #2 O was NOT Earned (unless you think 2 games each against the 49's, Rams, Cardinals is earning something).

Philly just had a bad day on Monday night. The Colts weren't trying. The got REAL lucky against the Cowboys and the Giants.

    We win NO MATTER what!

Plus, Gibbs isn't going to listen to me no matter how much I say on this BB.

    people, people, people, please ...

your letting the media get to you with all this nonsense about a bad offense, and conservative game plan ...

Let Joe do his thing, he is 17-5 in playoffs, he knows what he is doing. There is so much we don't know behind the scenes, but there is one thing we all know to be an infallable truth ....

Joe wants to win, more than me or you and he will install whatever plan he thinks is the best way to do that.

smartestmaninamerica lives up to his name here.

Seattle has the 25th ranked Pass Defense, but is much better at run defense. You need to hit other teams where they are vulnerable, and for Seattle that means at the passing game. Seattle has an elite offense; our defense will try to limit them as much as they can but we are going to need to put up some points here to match them.

It isn't even really that conservative doing the whole run, run, pass, punt routine. If the enemy knows what you are going to do, it is easier to design plays to counter them. And if you are in a lot of 3rd and long situations where you are forced to pass, that is a situation where you will often see turnovers occur.

I must respectfully say you are OUT OF YOUR MIND!

Tell the Raiders it doesn't matter.

He looks relieved, not happy, after every win. It's just his psychological drive: fear of failure.

Redskins Re: We bring the AGGRESSIVE gameplan, we WIN, we bring the CONSERVATIVE gameplan, we LOSE

Honestly, the Redskins Offense definitely have to mix it up on each certain down and be very unpredictable, varying their playcalling patterns at all times. At the same time, they have to be balanced as well. Of course, if the Redskins offense keep calling the same plays on each certain down, then they wind up being too predictable and opposing team defenses will benefit from that. In going against the Seahawks, the Redskins Offense definitely have to be off to a good start, fresh off the get-go. They have to be on fire and execute all their plays, thus avoiding more three and outs.

They have to be less predictable. If I'm defending the redskins, it's real easy. Run Blitz on first and second down, always roll the safety to Moss's side. Shadow Cooley. Never, ever, blitz on 3rd and longer than 5 because the Redskins are always max protecting and only sending two guys out (Moss and Cooley) both to the left side of the field where Brunell will roll, either by design or under the slightest amount of pressure. I would always have my DE speed rush outside cause Brunell will back pedal right into it while trying to roll to his left.

The redskins need to get out of this pattern. Line up five wides every once in a while. Run some slants. Use the middle of the field. Make teams blitz and use that against them. Brunell needs to step up into the pocket and stop retreating. We cannot continue to max protect on every passing play because teams are not blitzing us and we have two guys trying to get open against seven guys.

In other words, keep them guessing. We usually don't do that. We defininately wont with a lead.

Can't remember where I read it because I was working and reading redskins news at the same time, but I read that Seattle gives up 2.2 yards per carry on the right side of the defense and something like 6 yards per carry on the left. So I want to see runs to that weak defensive side to set up play action. I believe That Portis and Betts are going to play a big part this week and Cooley will wake up from this funk too. The defense shows up big again too.
