I'm just glad Pitt is "back", they've won 4 straight with Woodall back

Could conceivably make tournament with strong run.

Ryan Gosling is a bad mofo in that movie. Reminded me a great 80's action flick...definitely recommend.

Liked Real Steel. Saw Haywire this weekend---liked it. Love her. Decided to wait for Underworld to go DVD. Have yet to see Drive.

Is the NFL not capable of using a delay so they can filter out cursing/gestures/wardrobe malfunctions???

Because of one nipple and one middle finger, the youth of america has been scarred.

Nevermind the million of times they show replays of gratuitous injuries in football.

Let's focus on a nipple and a middle finger.

Real Steel was 1000x better than I expected. The kid steals the movie...but it was hard not to like that movie also.
Wow, glad you made that comment. We've had this movie for weeks now but I havne't felt like watching it. I'll check it out now for sure.

Haha, I mean, I don't really care about the middle finger or the boob, I'm just saying if you're the NFL, why not use a time delay on the show so you don't risk getting in trouble with the FCC.

I think the reasoning is because it is suppose to be a live sporting event. If people found out there was a delay they would be pissed. Everyone wants to see the action in real time. Even if common sense told you a 3 second delay is not a big deal.

I agree, that's why I said delay the show, meaning just the halftime show.

I think you would still get a bunch of people whining about it. The NFL probably decides it is better to take the risk of something happening, than it is to piss off a bunch of their fans.

Can somebody help me understand the logic when the Giants went for two with a minute left? They were already up by 4 (forcing new england to score a TD). Had they made the 2-point conversion, that would've put them up by 6. Why did they do that? Putting pressure on the kicker to make an extra point if New England did somehow score a touchdown?

If you're up by 4, and the other team is forced to score a TD to win the game...why go for 2 to possibly go up by 6? Am I missing something?

If you're up by 6 you can still get a tie if the Pats score a TD and you block the extra point.

If you miss the 2 pt conversion, then you're at no loss, but if you convert, then you have a marginally better chance at the tie as opposed to the loss.

Exactly as you said. Going for two and not getting it doesn't hurt you. Going for two and getting it means you still have a chance if New England misses the extra point. Probably not going to happen, but it's a small strategic decision that can only benefit you.

Well being up by 5 puts absolutely zero pressure on kicker if they did score the TD. They score, boom games over. You go up by six, however little amount of pressure there is on the XP, at least it's there. Hey there could be a bad snap, you might block it. Then it's tie game. They had no reason not to go for two.

I always so go for 2 when it doesn't matter. What's the difference between 5 and 6? Like others have said, if the Pats miss an XP, than its a tied game. There was no downside in the Giants not going for 2 there, so I had no problem with going for 2.
