You'd prefer to be off in the middle of the week? WHat about hanging out with friends and family on weekends? Would you just prefer to be able to run errands and do stuff while things aren't crowded during the week?

Never worked 4 10 hour shifts, but just recently I have started working from home once or twice a week...Makes work SOOO much more enjoyable. I am going to look at full time remote jobs in the future. I am not a hermit, but the tasks of waking up, getting ready and dealing with commutes to work are no fun.

I don't think I could work 4-10s. I struggle when I have to stay 8.5 hours to make up time. I guess it depends on the kind of work you do. I have a lot of super slow days followed by some super busy days. If those slow days were stretched to 10 hours I'd be miserable. 3-day weekends are very appealing though

Yep, I love being able to take care of business without putting up with the crowds. It's also nice that everything is actually open during the week. It amazes me how many businesses close early on Saturdays and aren't open at all on Sundays.

On the rare day that I take off work, I feel like I'm in an episode of the Twilight Zone. No 6 hour wait at the DMV, I don't have to drive 90mph to make it to the bank before it closes at 5, my pizza is actually ready in 10 minutes, there are available parking spaces, and the independently-owned stores are open for business.

I'm not exactly a party animal anyway. If there was something that I absolutely had to do on the weekend, I guess I could always take a day off.

I do Tues.-Sat. Love it...Sundays are "sport-sacred", and I do housework and errands on Mondays. Perfection at last.

I had that schedule at my old job. It was AWESOME. I really miss those hours.

Taking 0 deductions with little income other than what was reported on your W-2 should not result in someone owing both the Feds and State a large check, come tax time.

Sigh.

I love writing $2k in checks, come April.
