It gets really hot over here in the summer time we routinely get around 104. I think our high last year was 112.

Lol it's actually pretty green a lot of agriculture. Oildale is really the only place where it seems like a desert. Which makes sense since its mostly an oil field hence the name Oildale.

Well Bakersfield is technically a desert. The background might have been oildale because I believe Joey is a regular at the country club in town. Which is on a mountain side of town and that area right behind the bluffs which the country club resides is the oil fields. I believe they shot part of the movie Holes that part is extremely barren. Surrounding Bakersfield though there's a lot of agriculture, cotton, fruits all kinds of stuff. Coming down from the grapevine that's all you see.

Edit: I believe I might have told guys already but Ryan Matthews is also from Bakersfield and my bro actually spent the night in jail with him. Ryan got arrested for fighting a cop.

ugh, I remember the summer of like 2007 when I was living in Columbia, SC. It hit 100 degrees 16 days straight, with humidity trolling around 80%. It was horrible.

I have a question. How many of you would prefer hot temps over cold temps. I'm just curious, after reading through Tom [Giants Fan]'s thread. I'd prefer hot. You feel dizzy/out of it/uncomfortable, yeah, but that's a far cry from the torture of freezing, windy weather, and not being able to feel your limbs, and outright pain. You can warm up considerably, but unless we're talking below 10 degrees, I myself would feel the need to take off a few layers after awhile, when my body temp levels out.

I prefer cold to heat...I can always put more clothes on....plus, if you're with your boo, she snuggles up to you. Win.

Same here. I like the autumn and early winter. Mid-spring is nice, too.

Toss up between hot and cold weather. Worked out in 20 below weather and that's not including windchill. ****ing miserable way to spend the day. Fingers and toes rarely warm and in pain. Humidity from breathing providing some nice ice buildups on the face,(on the beard or goatee to be exact). Never really get warm. Been up on the roof with temps at 100 and over and that was miserable as well. Make ya sick and stupid. Dangerous around those power tools.
