Anyone know if the Gray Parking lot is still there? Don't see any passes up for sale and really hope it's not just a cash lot now.
RIP Whitney
Absolutely. Lived in Vegas for a year. Found one in the tiny little room I was renting so we tore the place apart seeing if there were more. Found eight of them just inside the couch. Found 14 total throughout the room. It's probably a miracle i never got bit.
Lots of roaches in Vegas too.

Black widows, scorpions, dangerous snakes, gila monsters...
With the way I sleep and lazily meander around the house/front/backyard, if I ever ended up living anywhere in the southwest, mainly places like Nevada and Arizona, and bought a place, I'd probably end up dead before I even knew what hit me.

Brown recluses > Black widows
I live in total fear of brown recluses. Was looking at a time-lapse picture series of a brown recluse bite today. Horrifying.

Oh man, this might even be worse. Found it while looking for the other one. Also from today.
Bit her ear. Ugh. Obviously NSFL. Cute victim though

For me personally, brown recluses don't really stand out as much as black widows, probably for the simple fact that there are a ton of spiders that kind of look a little similar, especially those Back Country kind of spiders that are relatively harmless, but can get big as ****. If I run into a Black Widow indoors (hasn't happened yet), my immediate thought is that if I don't find the source, and destroy it, that I cannot rest for one second without fear of death. I've probably killed a few brown recluses and didn't know it.
The part that gets me is that some people say the after effects of the bite are similar to that of a severe cramp or something like that. So if I don't see what bit me, I might not react quick enough unless I could find a bite mark (not even sure how big those are). I think the worst thing would be to get bitten in your sleep, especially for me, since I sleep pretty heavy..

I had a place near Trop and Russel by the airport and I had a BW above my bed. So cool. I didn't mess with her, she didn't mess with me. It was fun to watch.
The BRs would start across the floor, turn and look at you and then run over and attack. Just ****ing mean little *******s. Scary too.
Try living on an island if you want bugs. Definitely a draw back of this awesome life.
ix, you're a strange ****ing dude.

I found a big ass black widow here at work on Friday, right outside the building next to a gutter. Easily the fattest one I've ever seen. It was eating a grasshopper and there was a pile of dead beetles under it's web . Gonna try to get a good pic of it today and maybe catch it.
I agree about brown recluses being worse, and not only because of what their venom does. It's also cause they don't just hang out in a web and chill like a black widow, they scurry around and look for things to kill, like puppies and kittens and angels and whatnot.
OMG, that is so true. I lived on Wilmington Island (barrier island east of Savannah) for 4 years and have never seen so many palmetto bugs (basically, flying cockroaches), and I swear some of them were as big as my foot, no ****. And the Sandgnats...the name of their baseball team!!!
All people do is whine and complain about everything now. I just sit back and enjoy things.
For instance, all people did last night was criticize the Roseanne roast as being "unfunny" or a bad roast. That's not true. It was decent. People complained there hasn't been a good roast since Giraldo passed away. That's not true. The roasts obviously miss something with his absence, but they're really not that bad. They're still entertaining, they still have the comedic shots at other roasters and prominent figures. Giraldo was one of the greats, but his absence doesn't really bring a roast down as badly as the online critics claim.
I agree with you, folks seem to never be pleased these days. Bunch of tight asses![]()

GEORGIA AVENUE.
I am bored at work, so I start playing Monopoly on my ipad vs the computer. They are beating the heck out of me. I swear this thing is rigged. Always finds away to avoid all my properties, but I land on theirs all the time.![]()
