You know what, reading in some of the threads in the Stadium a few minutes ago, I am glad that I am in the Tailgate now.

There are a handful of posters in there amongst the vastness of irrationality who I have come to respect over the years, KDawg probably being the main one. But there are a few guys in there who irk me from time to time, especially one who resides in Delaware, and who's username is a new, overused expression.

They constantly beat their chest out over the internet, like an 8 year old kid that just won his fifth straight spelling bee, needlessly hurling insults left and right, calling peoples character into question, just because their opinion is different from theirs. They are not unique. Their opinion is just that, an opinion, not the ****ing Ten Commandments. They are on a football message board, not 60 Minutes.

I'd love to get drawn into a debate with them, just to see whether or not they can take as much as they like to dish out.

Just my completely random thought.

I can barely ever deal with the Stadium simply because the general football IQ in there is so low. And I don't mean that like "Spartacus87 is so much smarter than everyone else," I mean a lot of people who post in that forum are really just clueless about building a football team, maintaining said team, managing player development/acquisition, etc. But rather than really try to learn about anything and have in-depth rational discussions with valid back and forth points, people want to post drive-by insults or pointless comments without returning to a thread. I disagree with just about every take darrellgreenie has on a topic, but at least he sticks around in threads and writes out long posts with some sort of evidence defending his points. Same with ASF and his methods and "systems." It seems like most of the intelligent posters just hang out in the Tailgate section.

I think my favorite common threads on this board are the college football ones. A lot of good discussion goes on and it's usually between a fairly small group of posters, so good posts don't get washed out like they do in threads in the Stadium when a thread goes from 3 pages to 7 pages in a couple of hours.

You're right about KDawg being a pretty cool dude that posts there though. He doesn't seem to post as often anymore though.

He breaks down football so well and I consider him one of the best football minds on ES

Anyway Stadium is an unsafe place to be most of the time lol

As for KDawg that guy is legit, big chat expert KDawg

Teammate Malcolm Delaney knows that playing on the road at Maryland is always a hostile environment, but the Hokies senior went a step further.

I dont want the 1k I paid to take this winter class to be all for nothing except a D on my transcript making it harder to get into a good grad school

Haha thanks ix. I think I'd only be able to contribute for segments on the ACC and a couple SEC schools though. I could maybe do like Sun Sports down here in Florida or something, definitely not the big time.

Again, it's his formula. He doesn't need to release it for free. I don't think he's talking out of his ass given how detailed he is with his responses, and he admits to missing on some prospects.

And anyway, my point was that ASF at least answers questions and sticks around in threads to debate with people. A lot of posters in the Stadium don't do that if they're challenged or called out.

I think the beat and the chorus is sick. I can't get past how terrible the verses are though.

Thanks guys....I dont think I did very well at all, I sat there for 5+ hours. But, since the only stats class available was Econ stats and that's not my major...I was talking with the professor...I hope he will just pass me since it wont build on anything for me...just give me the damn C- and I'll be happy. Well speaking for myself, I like to keep my friends close, and my enemies closer.

You are very knowledgable about college football though, a lot more than anyone I know personally, and I respect that, and as a result, generally look past the fact that you're an FSU grad.

I'll be in the area in the second week of March, visiting with family on my week off for vacation. If you aren't busy, maybe we can go grab a beer or something.
