Little lesson in statistics

Let's say the worst team gets 9 balls
2nd worst gets 8
3rd...
the 9th worst gets 1...

9+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1 = 55

The worst team has a 9/55 chance for the #1 pick
the 3rd worst has a 7/55 chance...........

err.... um... I know the price of heroin is cheaper than a 6pack.. but dude...

Statistically the worst record has the best shot. But in the past they havent landed the 1st pick.

08 - Chicago gets first pick with a 1.5% chance of winning.
07- Portland gets first pick when Memphis had worst record.
06- Toronto gets first pick when Portland had worst record.
05 - Milwaulkee gets first pick when Atlanta had worst record.
Since 1990 THREE teams have won the lottery with the worst record.

I clearly said that statistically you want the top spot. But history has shown that you dont have a significant advantage by having it. All I'm saying is dont bank on Sacramento getting the first pick.
