Has to be that stiff Bode Miller, clown shows up out of shape and cocky attitude. Then Hockey USA another joke both the men and women

I found Bryant Gumbel's comments about the lack of African Americans in the Winter Olympics disturbing. If comments about the lack of caucasians in the NBA were mentioned, that person would be deemed a racist.
"When you're surrounded . . . by Redskins'"
Body miller's situation was a complete joke. Usually when someone is a little excentric, they can still back it it up with their talent. He just looked plane stupid. I think his whole approach to the games made an ass out of him.
The girl that fell on the snowboard deserves a little more ribbing I think. What a jackass. She just solidified what the rest of the world was thinking about the US. She'alone dropped the progress of the US back twenty years.
Yeah but if you had a bunch of white guys doing LAYUPS everynight the NBA would have fan attendence smaller than a curling event. Speaking of which. Does anyone know WHAT THE HELL they are doing?Originally Posted by SKINS@THEGOALLINE

Biggest disappointment.... I knew who was going to win before NBC aired all of the events....
Would it really hurt them to show some of the marqee events live on their cable networks before going into primetime coverage? I liked that they had Ice Hockey on live
Agreed. That's a bit of an exageration right there I think. She'd been fighting her ass off against some stiff competition the whole time, so when she looks back and realizes that she's all alone, man that has to be something. Especially for someone as young as she. It was a move she has done alot and under other circumstances, may have pulled off without a hitch. This time, adrenaline kicked in and she just over did it. Nobody set back but herself. She's young yet. Has 4 years to compete and grow and if she so choses, compete again in the Olympics and give things a try again.

The US hockey team is just not that good, the other teams were far superior so wouldn't call the Mens hockey team a failure.
Now the Cananadian team was a complete failure though.

Jim Haslett is a horrible coach.
Bode Miller was the biggest disappointment. He touted himself as the favorite and maybe he'd win 5 medals. He came away with the 0 and couldnt even complete several races.
Ted Ligety was a cool story, though it's too bad he straddled a gate yesterday.
I did like how after all the bad blood between James and Hedrick that in the 10K last night James was cheering the entire time for Hedrick![]()
It is amazing that Herick has only been doing this for 3 years and how good he is, Vancouver is going to be great![]()
I hate the fact that they won't show stuff live. Except Hockey, and Curling on occasion. That really turns a lot of people off to watching it I think, since msot hear ahead of time already.Originally Posted by Fergasun

I didn't think it was that bad, I enjoyed it. The US lady winning skiing was great. One of the coolest things I saw was the shortrack relay, now that is cool 30 laps and 4 guys for each team, very coolOriginally Posted by visionary

That was insane... they had 4 guys on each team, and 40 laps. I figured they would each race about 10 laps... wrong!Originally Posted by jbooma
They did 2 laps each, and the best skater could keep coming back in after tagging out.
Think about it in T&F turns. It's lke having a 1600 meter relay where Carl Lewis can run the first 100 meters and keep coming back in. I know that's not physically possible... but it's insane. Add in the fact the race was pretty close too...
