NO, NO, NO. We do NOT need a new stadium. All you people wanting a new stadium clearly are not season ticket holders and have no understanding of the impact a new stadium will have on ticket prices. It will price average guys like me right out of the market and drive a lot of non-season ticket holders out also because single game tickets will skyrocket. It has happened in every city over the past ten years and the cost escalates each year. That fancy new stadium you so desires raises costs on taxpayers and on fans. And if you think RFK is "cool" looking, you clearly have never been inside the stadium. Because it IS a dump and was not very attractive or functional when the Redskins used to play there. People have fond memories of RFK because we WON football games. That is why folks go to stadiums in the first place.
Besides, talk to Cowboy, Giants and Jets fans about their new "soulless" stadiums.. Their boards are full of complaints about how little character and life they have. Yeah, some can point to the video screens (We have two also) or certain features. But most of the regular fans are pretty upset because they lost their season tickets or got shuffled to the nosebleed section.
We're fine for a while. We just need to start winning football games at home.
