Buying a Bike

Ya I am a college student looking for a relatively inexpensive bike to use around my campus.. My last bike was stumped on and i was looking to spedn no more than 70 dollars at the max.. I was looking for a 26" inch, do u guys know any places besides target and walmart where i could find a cheap bike? I am currenlty seraching thru craigslist but no hits so far.

There is one on EBay now for pick up only in the DC area.

Wal Mart and Target are gonna be about it. Maybe Costco if you have a membership.

Maybe Toys R Us also.

ok i have costco membership but i think there are too expensive.. I dont want to run the risk of them getting stolen on campus

I was going to suggest Performance, but if Costco is expensive I doubt Performance will be any better. Stay with Ebay and the local ads. I am pretty sure there is a bike store in the town of Vienna that sells bikes on consignment. I believe it is the only one around the Fairfax area that does. I am sorry I don't know the name.

The newspaper. Usually where you get the best deals cuz people are just trying to unload some their ****.

If your going to University of Maryland or a big college you better buy a cheap azz toy r us bike...Bikes get stolen all the time, the campus police at UMD get reports of $300-$2,000 bikes stolen all the time..
