    Default Westbrook hates: Barbaro news

Why is this a story? Probably because ESPN is doing its best to try to tell me what I should and shouldn't care about.

Barbaro was a horse who brokes it's leg during the Preakness on Saturday. 9 out of 10 times, when a horse breaks their leg, they put it down. Why not this time? Well, because there is money in that horse.

Everytime he sends a round down range, his owners will be raking in the $$$.

If he didn't have the ability to stud, he'd already be glue......just like untold numbers of horses that ESPN doesn't care to spotlight because they weren't in a big race.

Reporter on Cold Pizza told us some news this morning after TALKING TO THE HORSE'S DOCTOR. Again, who cares?

Every single day, I'm getting my daily dose of Barbaro news and I'm starting to feel more and more like Drago.

Are you just now coming to the realization that people care about animals? When people care stories like this become news.

I agree 100%. And great Rocky quote.

ESPN usually has a few of these sad, tear jerker stories a month to withdraw from the masses the humanic sympathy that is supposed to engender feelings of empathy. Well it just doesn't work with me, and I'm not cold hearted. But fabricated stories by news media trying to evoke an emotional reaction from me will always get a cynical response from me.

Don't we have bigger issues going on right now other then a horse with a broken leg???

Speaking of over-publicized stories. Did anybody find it funny that people were making it a nationally televised event for that David Blaine crap? (He didn't even break the record) I know that it was a long time ago, but it is kind of the same thing. When he came out of the tank...it was like the second coming of Jesus. We are in a war and we're worrying about a horse with a broken leg.

How about a heart warming distraction from real life? If you want to focus on the war, watch CNN, not ESPN.

Since when is a dying horse heart warming. Are you some sort of a sicko? Just jokes.

Exactly. Also it's worth mentioning that if ESPN didn't have this horse to talk about we'd just get more of the same crappy baseball highlights they play over and over all day long.

I care, I have been a racing fan since childhood, I would rather hear news about that than the NBA as i hate pro B-ball

There is a good chance this horse will never go to stud due to his leg injury, when breeding the horse has all his weight on the hind legs

I thought this thread was going to be about Michael Wesbrook hating the horse.
