Holy ****!!! That is one nasty-ass staph infection. Seriously, that is pretty disturbing.

Just to reiterate...I know Randleman was a great fighter. He always was a test for the top contenders. I hope he gets well soon. God damn.

Liddell vs. Couture the Trilogy DVD Set

I got this thing for $23 (includes shipping) on eBay and I thought it was a pretty good deal, I assumed it just included the 3 Randy/Chuck fights + the bonus footage but was I wrong.

Holy **** this is a 4 DVD set and includes ALL 3 PPVs IN ENTIRETY

UFCs 43, 52, 57 with most of the prelim bouts as well, damn it was a good deal I would've paid that just for UFC 52 which is one of my all time faves (Chuck/Randy, Hughes/Trigg, GSP/Mayhem, Linland/Lutter).

It lists for $40 retail, so if you find this on eBay for cheaper GET IT!!!!

On another note, anyone see the IFL Grand Prix last night?

The Chris Horodecki/Bart Palaszewski fight was really the only good one IMO, but I would've given the fight to Palaszewski, you could tell that the crowd was upset that the judges gave it to Horodecki.

I had Horodecki winning round one for sure, Palaszewski dominating round 2 and Palaszewski taking round 3, by slight decision.

well it's a good thing the rematch wasn't a contreversial decision like the first one

They gave another controversial decision to Horodecki? I though Bart beat Chris the first time they fought. Now they give Chris another one? Sheesh.

Yep they did it again, most of the MMA sites had the fight going to Bart Palaszewski by split decision.

The IFL really has a hard-on for Chris. He's good, but Bart is too. What a shame. In the first fight Bart had him so choked out they could have stopped it. Chris made his way thru the ropes though to save his own ass.

Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson is fighting this Saturday in an EliteXC show. He's fighting Bo Cantrell (10-10).

My opinion on Kimbo is that he has taken great steps towards becoming a legitiment MMA fighter. I read an article on him the other day. He talked about how he was always high during his street fights. He said he hasn't had sex in 4 months, hasn't done weed in a long time, he feels pure and ready for professional fighting. Also, he trains with Bas Rutten, whom I think is one of the best MMA trainers out there. I can't wait to see where this guy can go.

I am impressed with the fact that he's making Bas happy with his training routine. That shows me something right there. However, I'll reserve judgment on Kimbo until he fights some bigger talent. Choking out a senile Ray Mercer is not enough for me to start praising an internet backyard fighter. (If he had out-boxed Ray, I be VERY impressed.)

The Mercer fight was considered an exhibition match. Thus Kimbo's record is 0-0. This will be his first official match. I will praise Kimbo on the premise that he's taking professional fighting seriously. Although, the money probably kinda sorta helped his decision to leave that life.

Rutten co-signing him should tell everybody how serious Kimbo is taking his training. I'm not sure how he will do, but it'll be interesting to watch it play out.

I'm sure Kimbo is taking his fighting seriously, especially training with Bas, but Bo Cantrell isn't going to be a challenge for him. Cantrell's has lost his last 4 fights, 3 of them in a row were KOs and this last fight he lost to Brad Imes (the guy who lost to Rashad on that season of TUF) by gogoplata

The only other victory by gogoplata I know is when Nick Diaz beat Gomi but was overturned into a NC because he was smoking too much weed.
