apparently the Brown/Faber rematch is being tossed around for june...............and will be the WEC's first PPV card


good weekend for MMA coming up, UFC 96 (weak card i know) on Sat. then Dream 7 starts its featherweight tourney the following day

No way I'm paying for a WEC event. Brown, Faber, Fabino, Garcia, Torres, Kid, they can throw all their big dogs on the card and I'll be happy to use Sopcast. Don't get me wrong, a mega-stacked card would be great to order but not for $70,000 dollars.

I would. If it is a good card, regardless of the organization, I will pay for it. I am not a big fan of Sopcast, channel surfing, etc., but to each their own.

Kenny Shamrock is fighting Bobby Lashley (Formerly of the WWE) march 21 on a boxing/mma card. i believe Roy Jones is fighting Omar Sheika on the same card

I wonder how much it will cost. I tried to find information on it, and did not see much.

Roy Nelson/Jeff Monson is on that card as well.

Sorry, but it would take exploiting the entire weight division to get me to even think about paying for it. Torres would also have to fight Kid on the card.

Lashley/Lesnar doesn't seem likely any time soon. Lesnar is the champion in the premier org, and got the title shot mostly because he came in to MMA with a huge fanbase in professional wrestling, despite his strong background in collegiate wrestling. Lashley doesn't exactly have that gigantic following. I think it would take some time and dominant victories for the UFC to sign him, they don't want to seem too hell-bent on bringing in people simply because they were popular before they got in to MMA. But I should never anticipate a move by Dana White...

Lesnar gets his rematch with Frank Mir soon, and the Heavyweight division will finally have one true champion.

Ken Shamrock fights Lashley March 21st and it's easy to anticipate Lashley will destroy him.

Do you know what promotion Cyborg and Carano were going to fight in? I remember hearing something about Dana White thinking about installing a women's class to the WEC.......

I heard that they wanted to create a little more buzz for a Cyborg-Carano fight by having them each have one fight in Strikeforce first before facing each other. I guess it makes sense, as it has been a while since either of them fought and their next fight will be each of their first fight in the promotion.
