Dan probably needs to win in impressive fashion to guarantee the title shot. He has the unfortunate luck of fighting before the Gustafsson/Mousasi match. If Hendo wins ugly and the winner of Goose/Moose wins impressively, Dana has been known to change his mine once or a dozen times.

Dan Henderson deserves a title shot. How close is Cub Swanson to a title shot? Will he ever get one considering how the match up between him and Jose went the first time.

That Te Huna entrance was classic. If you come out like that you'd better win your fight.
Love seeing Gunnar Nelson win too. Now that Demian Maia is at 170, I'd pay good money to see them fight each other.

Rory MacDonald out of UFC 158, no replacement yet
Rory MacDonald has been forced out of his UFC 158 rematch with Carlos Condit due to an injury, according to a report.
According to sources close to the fight, MacDonald suffered an undisclosed injury in training, which has forced him to withdraw from his fight against Condit at UFC 158.
No opponent has been signed to replace MacDonald against Condit next month. As of now, he is still expected to compete on the card.
MacDonald (14-1) was looking to avenge the only loss of his career in a rematch with Condit (28-6). It remains to be seen if the UFC will decide to break up the third big welterweight fight on the card, Jake Ellenberger vs. Johny Hendricks, and promote one of them into the fight with Condit or if they will bring in someone who wasn't originally scheduled for the card. UFC president Dana White stated that the card was welterweight-heavy in case something like this happened, but we'll have to wait and see.
The card will be main-evented by a UFC welterweight title fight between champion Georges St. Pierre and former Strikeforce champ Nick Diaz.

Condit/Hendricks is pretty exciting, and Hendricks will be all but due a shot at GSP if he wins. Sucks that the event lost a great fight though, although Rory will probably fight Carlos eventually anyways. 158 needs another good main event matchup now.
I wonder if Erick Silva is available for the Ellenberger fight?
Johny Hendricks is one of my favorite fighters. Practically a mirror image of Dan Henderson. H-Bomb 2.0. The Condit fight just got upgraded a little in my book. Condit is a hardnosed mother****er, I'm leaning towards him winning a decision. If Hendricks knocks him out, **** will have just gotten real.

Did not expect that one. I was expecting Woodley or Maia, but Nate did destroy both of them. But he is coming off of a loss in which his leg was absolutely battered. I am surprised that he is ready, but I suppose they would not send him in there if he wasn't. And who knows whether those other guys even wanted the fight on short notice.Nate Marquardt steps in to meet Jake Ellenberger at UFC 158 in Montreal
Former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nate Marquardt (32-11-2 MMA, 10-4 UFC) will meet Jake Ellenberger (28-6 MMA, 7-2 UFC) at UFC 158, a source close to the event told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) on Monday evening.
Marquardt fills a spot left vacant by Johny Hendricks, who was tapped to meet onetime UFC title challenger Carlos Condit when Rory MacDonald was forced to withdraw from the event due to injury.
Marquardt vs. Ellenberger still serves on the March 16 event's pay-per-view main card, which follows prelims on FX and Facebook.
UFC 158 takes place at Montreal's Bell Centre.
Marquardt hopes to rebound after losing his Strikeforce welterweight belt in the promotion's final event, which took place this past month in Oklahoma City. Tarec Saffiedine battered the onetime UFC middleweight title challenger with leg kicks en route to a unanimous-decision win.
