he brought Rodrigo Medeiros out to the woods of MN to train him in JJ. its not like he's trying to learn offensive moves right now, he's mainly focused on sub D. Medeiros said in an interview he's really concentrating on sub D and the only offense moves they were doing were americana's and kimura's
everybody assumes if the fight goes deep, it will be lesnar who fades first, i'm not so sure i agree with that line of thinking

6PM is when it starts.
Well, first of all, there's no way to judge a dude's true wrestling ability watching his fights on WWE. Furthermore, Brock was last cut from the Vikings after having not played in college...that kind of speaks to his level of athleticism right there.
I've watched Randy since he entered the UFC, and you are right, he is an incredible wrestler. Brock is too, his work ethic and training is comparable to Randy's. I've watched a lot of Brock's NCAA matches as Matt sent a bunch to me when Lesnar first joinged the UFC. After watching those and hearing Matt talk about his personal experience with the guy, I quickly realized that it was only a matter of time before Lesnar started dominating. And I'll agree that Randy is a very intelligent fighter, but just because Brock made mistakes in his first fight against Mir doesn't mean that he hasn't hired a team of trainers to work with him in his gym since that fight. One of the things Lesnar is best known for is his quick assimilation of athletic skills...and lifting anything you want him to. lol
And Mir, yes, he is a submission specialist. One of the best in fact. Check out his UFC career before the motorcycle accident.

I wasn't meaning that he's going to use doubles in this fight. I was using it in the context that this guy is exceptionally athletic and he was known for certain moves in the NCAA...doubles being one of them. I think his athleticism and ability to dominate in specific areas will translate over well to MMA.
As for his fight with Herring...did he get submitted? Nope. He kept himself from getting submitted. And he didn't work on submitting Herring too much because his BJJ was still weak and he didn't want to make himself vulnerable to a counter submission. I see him doing the same thing in this fight.

You are right that Randy has great endurance. But Lesnar's no slouch either. You have to have just a little endurance to reach such an elite level in the NCAA
Mike, expect a soon to be intoxicated reply.![]()

I have a few buddies coming over for the fights so I won't be around but I'll check in late to see everyone's thoughts.

Thanks Soup For The Sig! WE GOT HIM!!!!!
"Yeah, I'd like to order the UFC event"
"Okay, that is $44.95."
"Okay."
"Would you like it in HD?"
"Of course!"
"Okay, the total will be $54.95."
"Are you ****ing kidding me?"
"No"
"Give it to me in HD, but **** you."
LOL Go Randy!
15 minutes 'til post-time! Let's get this party started!
As far as Keeastman's point about Randy just being too small to perform jiu jitsu on Lesnar, please see Royce Gracie vs. Dan Severn. I know Randy isn't Royce, but he has 10 times the knowledge on the ground than Lesnar does. Question is, will Lesnar be able to sustain an effective burst of energy to negate Randy's technical prowess, if it stays down there?
As far as Lesnar pissing blood, SU, it was probably too much whiskey hitting his liver after such an embarassing tooling. Didn't see Lesnar do too much on the ground. Maybe he clipped his gooch or kidneys. And I don't care if you have every Gracie with a first name that starts with R teaching you jiu jitsu, you aren't going to pick up enough knowledge, flexability and technical ability to be comfortable in-fight within a year. It's one thing doing it in the gym, it's a whole new ballgame in a battle. But who knows? This fight already has me nervous.

i think those knees Lesnar threw while Herring was on ground caused the bleeding, but your overall point is understood
