DC Sports: The Curse Is Real
Chris Lytle vs. Marcus Davis: Lytle in split decision in the Fight of the Night
Can't wait for this one. Hope its the first fight and sets the bar high for the next sleeper.
Jeremy Horn vs. Rousimar Palhares: Palhares by sub
Speaking of sleepers... Hopefully these guys don't' nullify eachother and play D the whole time. This could be a very exciting BJJ match, or most boring fight of the night.
Denis Kang vs. Alan Belcher: Kang by sub
I'm real excited for this one too. Belcher has great standup. Kang can make some noise at 185 if he gets back to top form, and think he will have an impressive debut.
Shogun vs. Mark Coleman:
Shogun by sub
Surest fight right here. Shogun will walk right through Coleman. Armbar finish.
Dan Henderson vs. Rich Franklin: Franklin by split
Back and forth fight here. See this going the distance. Wish this had Pride rules or at least 5 rounds. I see Franklin doing a little more and winning the judges favor.

I say leave the spoilers out of the thread. I won't be checking in to be safe, but a lot of non-regulars check this thread on fight days.

they announced that Rampage will fight Jardine at UFC 96.............and i'm left wondering why?
DC Sports: The Curse Is Real
that fight better not be the main event for that card, i guess that means the Machida/Thiago Silva winner will get first crack at Rashad

DC Sports: The Curse Is Real
Dumbest matchup ever. Can't believe it. Don't even have to explain. Did Greg Jackson's camp pay for his bail?
SPOILERS
---------
I went 4 for 5 on my picks, if Coleman would have lasted 24 more seconds I think I was on my way to 5 for 5. I scored the Franklin/Hendo match 29-28 for Franklin. Thought Rich won his rounds relatively convincingly, as well. Nonetheless, Hendo and Bisping will be a good fight. Hendo will have an easier time ground and pounding Bisping than he had against Rich, my early thought is that Hendo wins that one.
Shogun/Coleman was possibly the worst fight i have ever had the displeasure of watching
i fully expect Dana to put Shogun against Chuck next so Chuck can add Shogun's name to his resume

HA, oddly enough I thought watching Coleman survive gassing halfway through round 1 through the rest of the fight was awesome. I haven't routed for a guy so openly for a while. Of course, if it were anybody but Shogun he would have been finished (isn't that a sad thing to say). For a second there I thought Shogun was toying with him, setting up a Double Dragon cyclone kick or Haduken fireball. But then I quickly realized he was gassing, as well. It looked like two 60 year olds trying to put their friends' urns on a mantle. I had Coleman winning 29-27, and the 1 point was only deducted from Coleman because of the knockdown at the end of round 3.
In my opinion, it was a bad stoppage. Coleman got caught but he was on his hands and knees. I think he would have grabbed a single and held on 'til the end of the fight. The refs are getting really bad these days.

x2 i guess your not the same without the juice. That was a terrible fight i don't care if he has'nt fought in 16 months that is a terrible display of cardio conditioning did he even train. Shogun had the shoulder lock in rd 2 but was to tired to finish it. I thought it was a way premature stop Coleman was gonna grab the leg and probably was gonna win the fight. Has bad has Chuck has looked lately he would destroy Shogun.
Dan won with takedowns and not much else i had him winning rd1+2 and Rich rd3. In a 5 round fight i think Rich woulda wore him down.
Kang fight pissed me off he was dominating the whole fight and gets caught shooting for the takedown.

i had Rua winning the first two round, he was winning the exchanges standing up, and when it went to the ground he was lookin for subs. Coleman didn't do **** when it hit the ground. i know the judges give points just for getting the takedown, but i like to see a little more done with it.
truthfully, neither deserve to fight in the octagon after that ****ty performance though

DC Sports: The Curse Is Real
Chuck vs Shogun in april in montreal just announced today has a co main event.
I guess Shogun might be about to face his 1st knockout unless his cardio improves drastically.
