What are everyones Redskins superstitions?

Saturday nights (Sunday nights if it's a Monday night game) I shave my entire body. Even the eyebrows. It's really starting to freak my roommates out.















Oh, and I never consume alcohol during football games.

Let me add a few things to my previous post.

-I never wash my jerseys.

-I always sit on the very edge of my seat during the game, and at half-time I never watch the TV.

-I hardly ever wear shoes while the game is on.

-No contact to the outside world while the game is on.

I wear my beautiful Portis jersey before and during the game. If it's an away game and I'm watching it at home, I do 10 push ups for every touchdown the Redskins score!

Since Portis' injury, I have been pumping $26 each time i get gas. Needless to say I have to refill alot. Prior to the injury, Id pick a player's # and pump that amount.


My tailgate group gets to Fed Ex when it opens at 9AM. Before we unload the car we each MUST take a beer bong.

In the stadium, I absolutely must sit in the furthest seat to the right amongst my group of ticket holders.

I have to be wearing a Redskins hat or we play sub-par. For example, we didn't take the lead in week 17 until my mom came in and reminded me to put my hat on.

i never have owned a jersey, but i have this one grey skins t shirt that i still haven't washed since like 3 years ago that i always wear.

When the Skins do something good, i try and duplicate the EXACT situation, from where i'm standing, to what i'm wearing to what's in my hands (usually a football)

My brother-in-laws' baby's momma and his best friend are C'girl fans.....My mother-in-law's brother and sister are also C'girl fans....So, we have no contact with any of my in-laws, except my mother-in-law cause she loves the Skins, the week of the C'girl game. This year, we have not been to see them once camp started and will not see any of them until Thanksgiving even though they live in Richmond. I am limiting all contact with C'girl fans this season.....

I am never going to wear Portis Jersey on game day again after I wore it for the first time last year on the Sunday of the first Giants game . I love the guy but it just seems bad luck .

Conversley because I am a UK fan I take my football where I get it (though I am a die hard Skins fan) so I have gear for a number of teams execpt the bears and cowboys (Just picked up a black and white Mike Vick Rebock Jersey by the way for £16.99 - check the activewear rails at TK Maxx UK football fans) I find if I wear items from teams we are about to play we always seem to win.

Wow. Thats insane. I totally believe that oyu are a die-hard Redskins fan, but what the hell brought you to wear another team's gear before your superstition started?

Dave Butz, Mark Mosely, and one or two others used to carpool to home games, and Butz usually drove. It became a ritual that he would HAVE to drive over a roadkill for good luck. If they felt that THUMP THUMP, they knew they'd have a good game.

The first thing that i have done the last 2 years is bring up a 20inch TV from down stairs.So i can watch the Redskins and other people can watch what ever game they want.I had the Redskins on the 42inch TV. Now just tuesday i ordered a 32 inch lcd TV.Im putting it in the corner of the room.Its going to be great dont have to get up as early.I try to sleep in why you say,because my nerves act up until the game starts.The biggest thing i do is put on my 14kt gold Redskins charm.I got when i was 8, then i put my Portis jersey on.I bring a hat and face it at the TV.Most or the time i dont put on the hat.If our team is doing good i dont like to change seats.There is many things i do, im really superstition.When i was a little kid i cried when the Redskins lost a game. Now i just get really mad and count to 10 then go .The worst thing is trying not to watch Sportscenter after we lose.

I am a bit worried this year because the skins won the games I went to only if I had my LaVar jersey on. I wore that jersey for the bears, seahawks, 49ers, and Giants game, which of course they all won. The one game I didn't wear it to was the Raiders game, and we all know how bad the Raiders are. Sorry for letting everybody down. Also, I must watch the game with my older brother. Also, my best friend whom I've attended several Redskins wins with at FedEx, is no longer welcome at my house to watch the game due to the 0-2 record he has here. Watching the game at my dad's house, however, is acceptable. Also, although not really a superstition, I am the only one in my house allowed to yell at the TV during games. If anyone else does I yell at them and tell them to calm down. I am a nervous reck during skins games.
