Just got back from Cardinals/Steelers game

First the bad:

They have been saying all week long to come early as the parking and streets will be confusing since it's everyones first time to the stadium, etc. This I understand...Kickoff is at 1pm...most people got there at 10am and stood in line to get into the stadium...this is where all hell broke loose, and I mean this literally...it's 107 degrees and rising, there are NO water founteains, or coolers with those little cone cups...no canipees for shade...and they would not let us in until 11:30...people were dropping like flies out of the line...seriously.

I know there is the 90 minute rule..but give me a break! Everyone wanted in to see the new stadium and it's hotter than hell outside!

Now the good:

It really is a spectacular stadium! Looks like a space ship from the outside but inside, it is first class! Very LOUD! Watching a Cardinals game and not dripping in sweat was a really weird feeling...there were of course alot of Steeler fans but there are alot of all teams fans here in the Phoenix area do to it being a very big "Transplant" state.

I have no doubt though that this team will finally have a home field advantage.

Now if they could just manage to put up some shade around the gates, things would be great.

Cardinals will shock a lot of people this year. I have them winning a wild card spot, possibly over Dallas. They will beat the Pokes head to head in their new stadium, and I will love every second of it!!

I have to say, I find this trend of building stadiums TO BE loud is really annoying. Qwest Field comes to mind. I don't mind loud stadiums (e.g. Mile High and Arrowhead) but trying to mask your team's suckiness through good engineering is obnoxious.

I don't think he's talking about the the artificial crowd noise like sorry ass Indianapolis was using, he's talking about engineering the stadium acoustics so that its louder...

It's fake when you pretty much design the place so noise can come on the field.

The Cards played their starters most the way through the 2nd quarter...Edge din't do anything but there was no line help...Warner found Fitzgerald alot...

I think the Cardinals WILL indeed make a run at a wild card spot this season...if warner can stay healthy, and that's a BIG IF...they should be alive until the end...they could sweep the 49ers and the Rams and split with Seattle.

I hope the Skins get home field...but IF they have to go on the road in the playoffs, I hope they come here!...AZ

I watched some of this game today and I came away really impressed with the Cardinals offense. I know the biggest thing holding them back is......well...they're the Cardinals. But I really believe with that offense, they should finish 2nd in their division. I just don't think they have enough on defense to snag a wildcard spot. But at least they now have a legit homefield advantage.

I seem to recall them being one of the best defenses in the NFC last year. Not to mention maybe 8th or 9th in the NFL.

"Sorry" doesn't come to my mind when speaking of the Indianapolis Colts.

About the game- Warner did look crisp. Welp...that's about all I have to say about it.
