Why is everything black and white with you? The Panthers 3-0 record doesn't mean they stink but it doesn't mean they are going to be great either. What it means is nothing. The Panthers are going to be good because they have good coaches and good players. Their preseason record will play no factor in how they do on the year.

Let's take a look at the teams that did well in preseason last year (0 or 1 loss) and compare them to their final record.

Denver 4-0 (13-3)*
Atlanta 4-1 (8-8)
NY Jets 3-1 (4-12)
Cleveland 3-1 (6-10)
Pittsburgh 3-1 (11-5)*
Dallas 3-1 (9-7)
NY Giants 3-1 (11-5)*
Minnesota 3-1 (9-7)
Arizona 3-1 (5-11)
St. Louis 3-1 (6-10)

Now lets take a look at the teams that did poorly (0 or 1 win).

This is a rediculous thread. The title is terrible. Ouvan59 pretty much undressed your thesis with those stats he posted. What are you trying to do here, be funny? I don't think anyone on this site has said that losing preseason games makes us better. Maybe some tounge in cheek remarks about the Skins going 0-4 in 91, but I've also seen that disputed. Some remember us going 3-1 in 91. I really don't give a damn what our preseason record was in 91, what the panthers preseason record is now, or how many games we win in the preseason. The only conclusion I can make thus far is that you suck at the internet and should get into the "No New Threads" club for this jibberish.

Yeah; remember that time Steve Spurrier beat the 49ers like 70-7 in Osaka Japan?? That was awesome. Then we won the superbowl that year, and Spurrier became the most well-liked coach in Redskins history, and golly-gee-whiz it was GOOD TIMES!!!

You need to get a grip, bro. Preseason record means diddly squat. Indianapolis, as ouvan pointed out, was 0-5 last season. 0-5!!! Then they proceeded to win 13 games in a row. By your theory, the Colts defied the laws of Physics and must have been cheating...


And shame on you for not knowing your Redskins history!! Gibbs was 1-3 in 91 and 0-4 in 82, and won superbowls both years.
