It's been raining all day here in Ashburn. I have seen the reports on the news and flooding.
Ok, East Coasters! How much rain have you gotten in your area? Any flooding?

I heard 8-12 ft waves on the coast! Too bad I did not go home and go surfing!
If i can get someone to take pics of me tomorrow morning, i'll post a couple for all those wishing of Surfing.Originally Posted by Huly

Average is as average does
Hay mucha lluvia, mi amigita!
I tried to get my neighbors to have a "hurricane party", but no go.
It's funny. Now that Ernesto is gone, we are getting soaked here.

IT'S GONNA RAIN!!!!
no idea how many inches![]()
They're saying 45mph winds and 3-6 inches of rain. I just hope my power doesn't run out.
We had around 10 inches here. 10-15 miles up the coast near Wrightsville Beach got around 12 inches. I think the strongest gust here was 62mph. It was my first experience with a tropical system. And I'm not looking forward to any more.
Last hurricane I was in when I lived in Puerto Rico, my family and I lived without power and water for 3 weeks. It was basically every category while it developed and when it hit land. It went out of the island and back in and every inch of the island was affected.
As the weatherman on Channel 4 said, Katrina was 10 times worse.
We're lucky this time.
enough to take out some stoplights and shopping centers in Germantown.
also enough to put off leaving for VA Beach until early tomorrow.
I didn't even get any rain here in Gainesville.
I got out of school on Wednesday for Ernesto.
Yeah just in time for the long holiday weekend!
Why is everyone calling it a "hurricane?" It was, at best, a tropical storm in bloody FLORIDA! It's "rain" here. Oh yeah, it's a little windy too.
Everyone gets so freaked out at the slightest thing around here. Biggest bunch of wusses I have ever seen.
