I was only a kid, but I didn't remember Shuler being THAT highly touted coming out of college. I mean I know he was supposed to be a solid starting QB for years to come, but was he really heralded as a superstar?

Nowadays Heath is running for Congress. Would it be funny if he wound up back in DC as a Congressman? Would it be even odder or highly ironic if he wound up going to Redskins games as a Congressman?

Heath had a good college career with Tennessee and I heard he is still love in Knoxville. He was the Heisman Trophy Runner Up to Charlie Ward (who went straight to the NBA).

Him and Trent Dilfer were the two big QBs in the 1994 NFL Draft. When we picked Shuler, Dilfer was still on the board. Tampa Bay drafted Dilfer shortly after we picked.

Seems with free agency you really have to be careful buying ANYONE's jersey. I had a Terry Allen #21, a Brad Johnson #14. Currently I have a #26 Portis.

It seems like if you want to be safe you have to buy a retired players number. I'm thinking next time...#28 Green or #81 Monk.

What's sad is that they still got to pocket a few million bucks.

With the Chargers Picking second I wonder if Archie Manning would have stepped in and said "I don't want my son Peyton playing for the San Diego Chargers"

Norm's penance has yet to be fully extratced.
