Attack on Buddhism!

I am a proud Christian fan of the Washington Redskins. I have denounced the Crusades and the bigotry of the KKK by not calling them Christian. I have come to the conclusion that they were man's use of a peaceful religion and are outrageous, yet are disgraceful versions of Christianity. Nevertheless, I always hear how the aetheist religion of Buddhism is so peaceful. Well, Zen Buddhists were not peaceful and were involved in WWII. Every religion has been involved in war. Believe as you want, but I want the Buddhists to know their history is not exclusive of violence:

I think what the United States needs to do is to try to understand the Buddhists; open up a dialogue with them, find out what makes them tick. We need to understand exactly which of our policies so enraged them to commit violence in the 1940s, and how we can get them to resume that violence now.

My other question is this. Is Buddhism being corrupted by the radicals who view it as a religion of peace?

In my understanding Zen does not focus on meditation, and in general it sounds like it is easier to twist than other branches of Buddhism.

I'm not sure about the credibility of the article because it makes several glaring mistakes, including claiming that Zen originated in Japan.

I'm sure every religion and idea can be misinterpreted... still, I do not think history holds followers of any other religion burning themselves as a sign of protest (instead of burning others).

Why do people always feel they have to defend their religion by criticizing other religions? If your faith makes your life better and no one's worse, that's great. I don't care what God you believe in.

God gave us science and I'm all for it. Science does not consider God and many religious scientists are fanatical scientists, so I don't understand your statement.

No....I originally thought they were Christian and later changed my mind. I am talking about the violence of all religions including aethism and Buddhism.
