    Default Redskins (NFL) merchandise

A little different question here, but does anyone else agree that the Redskins (and probably every NFL team) merchandise is PRICEY?! I can actually remember when the sideline hats were around $15.99-$17.99. Now they're at least $22. Plus, the t-shirts are usually at least $18 which again I can remember they were around $14. And forget about the authentic jerseys, they cost around $300 and you risk the player being traded or going to another team. Plus they're not anything like real gamers. I think the NFL has more than enough money so why jab us for their merchandise. I just bought a few Redskins things and couldn't believe how much the total was so I just wondered if anyone else thinks the same way.

Agreed. All that stuff is ridiculously priced. I quit buying it years ago. Well, I bought a cap last year, but that was it.

I used to buy Jerseys, but the older I got, I realized what a waste of money they are. Besides, they tend to look a little stupid on overweight middle aged men eating chicken wings anyway.

Save your money, and go to the nudie bar.

    It's getting uglier, too.

The merchandise probably costs more because it's of a much higher quality, before Reebok made the NFL merchandise the Puma and Addidas the screenprinting would fade, the cotton shirts shrunk and the numbers peeled off the jersey. None of that happens anymore, I know someone will say that their jersey peeled but if you wash it properly it doesn't happen, I have jersey's from years ago that have been washed often and not one has messed up numbers.

And again authentic jersey's are the same material and composistion as the one's worn on field in games. There's a "fashion" cut and a "game cut", if you've ever tried on a "game" cut you'd understand why they don't sell that to the public because it's very uncomfortable to wear unless you get it oversized and then it's way to long. BTW the player's jersey's are customized to there specifications.

just don't buy it, or find ways around it. Clearances happen, so I have a Redskins t-shirt for 10$, that I think they started selling again. I just bought a Darrell Green jersey off ebay for less than 30$, it is a Nike brand one, but I don't care. Some other jersey prices fall too, I remember at one point, Samuels, Springs, and a buncha others were 30$.

Just strike at the right time I guess.
