This was nearly the exact gameplan we used against Dallas last week. The difference was the quality of opponents. It worked, so I'm happy. The passing game was essentially all run plays. This no risk offense did not work against Minnesota and it did not work against Dallas. Mark made a few nice throws one counted and one was called back down the field, but we got to see more of that. I was waiting and waiting for the coverage to tighten up and safeties to cheat in and for us to go up top. It never happened. Now, in this game it didn't need to. A five yard pass can not be considered a bomb for this team. In Dallas, we saw what happens when that's the case. We were effecient and solid, but we should be better than that. Afterall, when the Cartwright fumble was returned for a touchdown how many of you got Norvous. On firing Marty Schottenheimer Daniel Snyder said he didn't want his team to run a 1950's offense. Right now, that's exactly what we have.
Also, are the refs out to get us or what? Portis is hit way out of bounds, is given an extra shove, gets up and talks about it and he's the one flagged for unsportsmanlike behavior? Andre Johnson grabs Carlos Rogers around the neck and grabs his arm and we're called for pass interference?
