Whats everyone's take on Jeff Fisher.....coach of the Titans.
Good, bad, indifferent. I'd like to hear some opinions. Especially if any of you follow the titans at all.

I think that he is a good coach with a long-overhaul task of rebuilding to do with Titans.
Vince Young may turn out to be a very good quarterback, but I think that he may endure some growing pains this next years. But, he is not very far from where Steve McNair was as a quarterback athletically. Also, I sure hope that Fisher works with on his shotgun stance!

It doesn't matter what color RG3 is because when he steps behind center, we all bleed burgundy and gold...
I got to meet Jeff Fisher and Floyd Reese both at a Jr Chamber of Commerce meeting back when I lived in Nashville.
Fisher is a very good public speaker. He exudes a ton of confidence and strength in person... I can see that if I was a player, I would probably do what he says.I think that is Fisher's strength... he's never been a genius at the X's and O's, but he has always gotten his players to execute the scheme they're given. His teams play with a lot of heart.
That said, I think the STRENGTH of the franchise, from Reese to Fisher to Adams, is that they realize you cannot win consistently in the NFL without a franchise QB. To their credit, they have always had one, going back to Warren Moon, then Steven McNair, and now possibly Vince Young.
Fisher knows where his bread is buttered... he knows you have GOT to have a QB. I give him a lot of credit for that, because there are a lot of coaches in the NFL whose ego makes them think that any old QB will do, as long as they play within the scheme.
Also, Floyd Reese is one of the nicest men I've ever met. He takes a lot of grief over the Titan's cap situation, but he will freely admit that it is something he planned. The Titans sold their soul to make a championship run, and they came within 1 yard of succeeding.
A solid organization.
That said, the Cowboys are going to be way too much for them to handle.
.....
The soldiers gave three cheers as they urged their tired horses north across the uneven hills. Some of the mounts, exhausted after a week of almost continual marching, began to lag behind; others, spurred on by their enthusiastic riders, began to edge past the regiment's commander. "Boys, hold your horses," Custer cautioned; "there are plenty of them down there for us all."
He's a top 10, hell maybe even top 5 Coach in this league. He's gotta rebuild the franchise but they had a hell of a run from 99-03.
"In 2012 the Redskins are gonna be the NFC East champions, and that starts right f–king today.” Kyle Shanahan, 1/1/12
He will be a great couch if he can beat the Cowgirls this weekend!
I think he's a good coach who could be the head man in Dallas at some point. Just a feeling I have -- Tennessee may want to make a change and I'd be surprised if this isn't Parcells last year.
I really like Fischer, WeOwn. He's done well over the years in Tennessee. Every coach has to go thru rebuilding periods and his don't seem to ever take that long. I don't see the Titans' woes as being his fault at all.
I think he's a pretty solid coach, but he needs a change of scenery. Kind of suspicious as to why his team is ALWAYS injured. I can see having a few bad years of injuries, but it's every single year and I can't help but think he may have something to do with it.
Solid eye for talent, but he was done in by a few mistakes. Getting PacMan Jones made no sense given he doesn't fit their defensive scheme and he was loaded with personal issues at WVU. The love for Billy Volek really didn't work out.
But even still, their salary cap situation has been horrid over the years and they were forced to give up a lot of players that they really didn't want to.
It'd be best for him to leave Tennessee, take a year off, and then get back coaching for a new team.
YAKUZA
He always came off to me like he was pretty cocky, but I guess you have to be to a certain extent to be an head coach. I do feel kind of bad for him this season though, b/c it seems like he doesn't have any control over personnel decisions. I've heard from many outlets that he and Chow wanted Leinart over Young, but got trumped by the front office, and that from everything I've read/heard, he really wanted to keep McNair, but got vetoed by the FO and the salary cap.

But like you said, I think you almost have to be.

We'll see what happens.
I think Fisher is a great coach - and he definitely shouldn't make any changes until after October 15th.![]()
“I just wanted to say to the fans … in D.C. and across the nation, they’ve been great for us, cheering us on. At away games they show up in the masses and at home they really made it feel like a home-field advantage. We said this when I was in college, ‘We got a chance to sit at the dinner table and experience success and it was a good meal. But now we want to go back to get dessert.’ We’ll be ready to get dessert next year.”
Robert Griffin’s last words at the press conference.
Actually, I'm kind of indifferent about the guy.
We wouldn't be talking about Fisher in a negative sense if Floyd Reese hadn't mismanaged their salary cap and forced them to go into cap hell.
Floyd Reese needs to be fired, not Jeff Fisher.

Guys like Frank Wycheck have referred to Reese as one of the best GM's in the league. There has been a ton of talent to come thru Nashville... a hell of a lot more than most NFL teams. Reese is very well respected in NFL circles, and former players love him.
And nobody is talking about firing either one.
