Default Rush turns on his own...

I know there was another thread about conservative punditry's response to the election, but I found this transcript facinating.

I feel liberated, and I'm going to tell you as plainly as I can why. I no longer am going to have to carry the water for people who I don't think deserve having their water carried. Now, you might say, "Well, why have you been doing it?" Because the stakes are high...

There have been a bunch of things going on in Congress, some of this legislation coming out of there that I have just cringed at, and it has been difficult coming in here, trying to make the case for it when the people who are supposedly in favor of it can't even make the case themselves -- and to have to come in here and try to do their jobs.
Is it just me or is he admitting that he defends modern-day Republicans even though he doesn't believe they deserve defending?

Not that this should surprise anyone, but it does surprise me that he would ADMIT it openly.

That's about it. He's a windbag to begin with, but he basically admitted he's been tooting the Republican horn even though he supposedly doesn't agree with what they've been doing.

I guess he has to reposition himself since the Repubs lost their asses

Yes because they were not acting like true conservatives.

That's how I read it. Basically, he's saying he's been a partisan hack and kept his tongue clamped eventhough he thought we were going to hell. And people talk about liberal bias.

He's making a point that some republican politicians are afraid to stand up and really state what they believe in. He's tired of making their cases for them.

Personally, I don't care for him. He and Hannity both preach intellectual honesty, but both refuse to point out when the administration behaves in a way counter to true republican beliefs.

But he's admitting that he's been defending them as if they were, and now that they've lost the majority, he doesn't have to put on the act anymore.

Basically he is saying he totally forgot his own conservative convictions and morals and lied the past year or so just to try to get GOP folks re-elected.

So to those that listen to him religiously, like I used to, he has lied to you for quite some time.

Today he was laughing about it. Laughing!

The ego on this man knows no ends.

Yep, same as Bush did on air yesterday. They both basically came out and said they did nothing but spew rhetoric to rile people.

Don't ever think Howard Dean and Al Franken would have the nutz to do the same.

Dean is the chairman of the DNC- he's SUPPOSED to tow the party line at all costs.
