The issue isn't so much bringing FAs in but what kind. Carter and Archuletta were busts waiting to happen from day one. Neither had performed at the highest level for quite some time, and in Carters case, he hadn't even played the position we signed him for in over two years.

I don't have a problem with the FA's we signed. I think both Randle El and Lloyd we be great additions. As far as Archulatta and Carter I challenge anyone to tell name someone on our Defense that has played up to par, even Taylor and Washington are missing routine tackles. Give our FA class some time and then evaluate.

I'll definately agree with this....maybe the exception being AA if he's as "unhappy" as it seems he is. I don't think he got on the field in the Philly game and against Tampa "I forget his name" played when TV went down??? Hopefully he'll spend the offseason, or most of it, with the team and get better in this defense.

The defense, I hate to say or use this as an excuse but it's been killed with injuries. Hurt secondary in the beginning of the year didn't help the front or the blitz. Then the interior of the line gets hurt, arguably the most important part of the D, especially again the run...it leaves the o-line and TE's open to block our LB's and next thing you know the secondary has to stop the run---not good, obviously.

Anyway....all that being said, I want the offense that's on the field now back next year with a healthy Portis. Both sides of the ball has proven that you just don't step into either system and have great success, it takes a year to learn so hopefully this years class proves themselves next season.

Add depth to both lines, the secondary, and maybe a LB...all young depth to be prepared for the future.

Just my humble assestment...opinion....and great optimism that I was right this off-season that we could go 11-5 or have a real ****ty year but be real strong next year with Campbell at the helm.

Lance Briggs is our guy. Negotiations between him and Chicago have broken down and he's going to test the market. The Question is going to be whether the franchise tag comes into play.

Jarred Allen would be great, no way Kansas will let him go though. Same with Freeney. Other than that I only see Clements and possibly Samuel as other candidates.

Clements would be interesting. I hope the Colts do something to hold onto Freeney, because he's the type of player the Redskins brass loves...overrated and overpaid.

The problem with Clements is he beleives he should be paid in line with the top 3 CB in the leauge. I think he's good, but not that good.

If we landed Briggs i think it would be great, same with Samuel or Clements. They have been pretty decent lately, plus we could use their talent

Lance Briggs or Cato June and Nate Clements. Thats it. Only two. But knowing Danny, we'd probably get all the guys on that freakin' list.
