Default Watching Redskins Playoff Game on TV vs. Attending another Game(Rivarly/Alma-Mater)

Yesterday, me and a bunch of friends were talking about a issue that got heated before the tipoff of the maryland vs miami bball game.. we are all students at the UMD, but there is a game on saturday at 2pm and i asked my friend(Aaron) on whether he will be going to see maryland vs clemson or going to the ravens game(season ticket holder and a diehard ravens fan) and he said he wont even think about it and go to the ravens game..

My other friend(Bryan) questioned him, and asked him whether he would pass up watching the ravens game on tv if the game had been md vs duke and he had tickets to.. He said absoultely not, and that is alligance is towards his nfl love ravens.. he then asks me if i would pass up the md vs duke game and watch the redskins playoff game at home, i said no doubt i would skip the game between md and duke and follow my skins .. Bryan is a dieheard redskins fan but i was shocked he said that he would watch the md-duke bball game instead of the redskins playoff game..

This question is more applicable to those who watch more than 1 sport and follow other sports as regliously.. Suppose you went to Ohio St and they were playing Michigan in a football game at that same time, would you pass that and watch the skins? Im particular want to find out on those individuals who follow college sports and their alma-mater.

    Thoughts?

this one is easy. basketball doesn't matter until the 'skins are done.

the only other sport that would conflict is nats baseball. and if they were in the playoffs the same time as a skins game, id watch both of them on tvs next to each other.

I'm a die hard Terps fan... so this is a very tough question to answer... MD vs. Duke is a very big game.... but I bleed burgundy and gold... I'd never miss a skins game... playoffs or not...

alright, i might be mistaken major, but you like WVU... lets say there were playing a crucial game in that it decided on whether they go to the national championship in football? is your decision the same

Never choose another event (let alone a sporting event) over a playoff game.

    Thread over.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

Redskins rule all. Plain & Simple.

Even a Yankee playoff game wouldn't get me to not watch the Skins

it depends on what you are a bigger fan of. I put the Redskins above anything else in most cases. However, if something rediculously interesting came up, I may have to pass.

Like say my favorite band Dream Theater was on their farewell tour during a Redskins regular season game, and possibly a playoff game, then I would go to the concert.

Now, if it was a matter of the super bowl, then I would have to pass on the concert.

For some though, they would rather support their college more that their pro team, or their baseball team above their football team, etc.... It's all preference really.

i was just shocked that he said he would attend a md-duke game over watching the redskins at home. he said there is much more excitment at the arena, and that game is like no other at comcast, which is true.. the intensity level is certainly higher for duke..

    ya' got me.

i guess i was thinking more basketball vs. football, a fight that basketball will lose in round one every time.

now, 'eers vs. 'skins.....don't do that to me.

I think that's a problem you won't have to worry about for a long time.
