...or some other defensive stud, do you think we'll actually play them early in the season? It seems like the 'skins are always hesitant to give rookies (Rocky McIntosh) quality playing time...I sure hope if we use our #6 draft pick, that we plug the guy in the starting lineup (or at least play him significant minutes) right away.

D-line is different than any other postion because they are rotated in and out to keep them fresh so they'd see plenty of time.

Daniels and Carter will be the starters, but I think we do alot more rotation on the defensive line than we do with linebackers. Also, keep in mind McIntosh was the 35th overall pick and wasn't neccesarily NFL ready like a guy of Branch/Anderson/Adams caliber.

Believe me, anyone one of those guys is going to make an impact on the defense next year.

I think a rookie DL would have an easier time cracking the starting lineup, or at least getting significant playing time, than any other position on defense. DL (especially DT) is more about simply physically dominating the guy opposite of you than the other positions.

I don't know about starting, but I think any of the three you mentioned would be getting a lot of PT from game 1 on.

I wouldnt give a blanket statement to any player we drafted no matter what round or position. I dont think Williams will start a guy until he feels they are ready. Period. ST waited and I dont see this situation being much different. I would think however that a D-Lineman should be able to "rotate" in to the scheme faster.

D lineman dont have to "read" as much as a linebacker or DB does. If we draft Gaines Adams, and he shows the ability to beat an NFL olineman, you can bet your ass he'll play.

Daniels will be here, but Wynn might be a cap cut.

Gregg Williams lost his right to be the arrogant "my rookies dont play right away" coach. We were terrible this year. If he has that smug attitude next year hell be job hunting.

I don't think they have much choice. The line needs immediate help IMO.

    Ditto that...

Daniels is just not getting it done and I do not want him starting next season at all.

Hopefully we would do just that. It is a age old NFL tradition called (developing your young, talented players.)
