The Raptor is amazing but the P-51 takes the cake. What a beautiful sight that plane is.

When I was about 12, my dad paid for me to spend about an hour in a T-6. It was awesome, but unfortunately, I completely chickened out when it came time for rolls, loops, chandels, spins, stalls, etc. I've sometimes regretted not experiencing those things...

If and when I get enough money, I want to get my dad an hour in a P-51. He's talked about doing that his whole life. That, and maybe a trip to Oshkosh.

Cool picture: impressive planes.

I still remember playing this game, "Aces of the Pacific," and setting up dogfights between a Mustang, which I flew, and some Japanese Zeroes. End result: Lots of dead meatballs!

Air and combat sims are a ton of fun.

Great pics. I've always loved the airshows. We have a guy out here, (Heber,Utah to be exact. About 15 miles from here), who owns and flys a P51 during the summer months. He's flown over many of the job sites we've been working on over the years and this aircraft always stops work while we all watch. I see this and imagine what it must have been like back in the latter stages of WW2 to look up and see Squadrons of these things flying overhead. Of course, one can imagine being the poor bastard up in the air looking behind him and seeing the F-22 zeroing in on him.
