Let me start off by saying that if it is inappropriate for me to start a thread about this I'm sorry. I'm not trying to offend anyone here or break any rules, I just have a message that I would like all who post in this forum to see.

Browsing through the forums, mainly these two threads, it has become clear that things around here are starting to get out of hand. First, forum regulars began dropping like flies, and now the very existance of this forum is in jeopardy:

I love the Wizards, and I love having a great place to come to be able to discuss them with fellow fans. I'm emploring and challenging all posters in this forum to take it upon themselves to apply the forum rules of extremeskins in all posts. If you're new to the site, or just may not be clear on what exactly they are, you can read them here:

I am NOT trying to be a "wannabe mod", or "make my own rules" or anything. Honestly. I just don't want to see this forum closed down, and any fan of the Wiz should feel the same way I do. There will be disagreements, but the thing that is getting us in trouble is the name-calling. We can have disagreements, but there's no reason to belittle each other. I understand tempers can run hot, and I've been guilty in the past too... but let's just try to think before we all post from now on.

That's all I have to say... you won't hear anything like this from me again, I just figured I'd stick my neck out there once to try to save this forum.

You are kidding right? That a 20 year old kid who is FAR from the #1 or even #3 option on this team can' t be the future because he didn't get double digit points?

I would also like to say something. If it's not a big deal, if it's just a joke, if you aren't personally insulted, etc etc etc don't report it to the mods. I'm sure they don't want to keep getting alerted to inappropriate posts over here. If you have a problem with someone or something PM them and work it out. This forum was awesome before cause it was kinda like anything goes, people were insulted, they apologized, worked it out, and moved on and we all rooted for the Wiz. Out of sight out of mind.

Personally, I never liked the endless insulting. I always thought it was a weak out when someone couldn't back up the point they were trying to make.

I'll admit I got into a few dog fights with the likes of MAD but after some PM to better understand where the other was coming from, it ended up we see things pretty much the same. We just described it differently. All of that didn't need hashed out on the board were others could jump in and keep it going. I have similarly made friend with lots of other members here.

We need to all realize the limitations of this kind of forum. It doesn't lend well to sarcasm unless you really now who your goofing with. It's just text here and there is a lot of lag time between replies sometimes. It's easy to misunderstand and be misunderstood. We all have to share this forum. That means not stating every game thread so that if another member wants to, they can. It mean, not posting ever simple question that pops in your head if its something you can easily look up. And I personally would add, it mean naming the thread something we will all know what your talking about.

And once we get it all worked out, there will be new comers that don't know all the guidelines/rules. They will come in like a Bull in a china closet and we will have to deal with it as a group.

New comers today will become old timers in a few years. Trust me, if I just described you, you will see things differently in a few years.

Actually, I am shocked that people got banned. Is this forum SO bad? I've been a member of extremeskins for a long time and never seen anything here like the stuff that goes on in the Stadium or ATN.

Another thing:

I know we clown his ass all the time. I know he can be annoying at times. I know his Shaq man-crush is...well it's something. But I have to say I miss Skinfan2K. He was a daily contributer to this forum and he livened things up a bit. And while mislead he was never disrespectful.

I have a couple of confessions to make as well. One, I like Shaq too. I know I say he's a homo all the time but if the Wiz weren't in the playoffs I would root for Shaq to win. Maybe not now, since he's on a division rival but you get what I'm saying. And two, Skinfan2K does know his **** when it comes to the League in general and he has a ton of excellent observations and makes a lot of good points.

Basically what I'm sayin is that I would like to see Skinfan2K back.
