Seeing new faces around here this year, I figured I would welcome you all in

Here are few ground rules

1) I, Skinshokiefan am always right. I tend to run things around here

2) We have some misguided, funny, passionate, yet silly WVU fans. Don't let them get to you

3) The smack in this forum is tough and intense. Be ready to bring it. Back everything up you say, and if you can dish it out, be ready to take it

4) We only talk about football and basketball around these parts. If you bring up fieldhockey, EVERYONE will laugh at you

5) Have some fun, but remember we are all Redskins fans here. If you can figure out a way to use our collective trash talking abilities to destroy Cowboy fans, let us know

6) What happens in the NCAA forum, stays in the NCAA forum. Destroy each other here, but respect each other in the tailgate. Make fun of jbooma and label him a hater in the tailgate at all times

7) Adding to that, if you don't have a "team" don't try and talk smack. The whole forum will laugh at you and shun you

I feel like a proud parent knowing I helped this forum gain the recognition it deserves. Why, were it not for my gift of instigating and rendering some of these poor saps blithering morons, who knows where this forum would be?

My perspective on this is a bit different...

The ham-handed pot-vs.-kettle finger-pointing has been spread evenly between VT and WVU fans, although I'll agree that certain VT fans seem to be particularly quick to instigate... all in good fun.

8) No matter Canethang's teams on-field performance last year remember who's got more football national championships than Tech, WVU, Maryland, the ACC and the Big East all put together.

9) DO NOT bring up U of M's basketball program except when they beat Maryland and ESPECIALLY UVA since that one thing 99.9% of us agree on is we don't like UVA.

Hence the reason I din't bring up the fact that Miami led all schools in the ACC in academic all americans, you know we like to refer to ourselves as the Yale of the south.

Well, that's the last time I put in a good word for VT, then.

You do realize that's what I was doing, right?

Also, your rationale makes no sense. Duke really cares about academics. They are not an Ivy League school. Same for a whole host of other schools like Stanford, Georgetown, etc., not to mention non-athletic powerhouses like MIT and about eleventy zillion others.

But anyway... back to more important things, like Miami fans pumping up their footballs in March...
