    Default schedule dates

When will the 2007 schedule dates come out? I believe we have had our opening game at home 2 years in a row, isn't about time we open with an away game. Trying to plan ahead w/ other obligations.

Usually come out after the draft IIRC.

Mid April before the draft. We usually open at home. I heard a theory that the NFL likes us to open at home so the opening weekend attendance is strong, and since we have the biggest stadium we need to be at home.

I remember one year 3-4 years ago, it came out April 1st. Anyway, some time within the first week or two of April. :-)

The preseason schedule won't be known until some time after that.

About 2 weeks into April is when they have the big NFL schedule show on NFL network in the afternoon. They'll start making a big deal of it here in a few weeks of when exactly it will be.

why would you want to open the season away?

Actually we have opened at home 5 years n a row...

    2002 AZ we won 31-23
    2003 Jets we won 16-13
    2004 Bucs we won 16-10
    2005 Bears we won 9-7
    2006 Vikes we lost 16-19

I htink Tagliubue set it up for us since he was a season ticket holder but I would fully expect now to open on the road this season. I hope we get a softy for the opener.

I think we should open the season against Dallas at home that would bring in a lot of viewers.

I don't agree. That's the biggest game of the year. I think it's better to play Dallas, and any other division opponent, at some point after week 4. That way the apprehension builds, and we at least have some time to look at the two teams play real games before the showdown.

Home openers against Dallas have not been kind to us.

Rocket Ismail(sp) 1999 and Monday Night 1983 come to mind.

As Mark posted above, the home opener is already a tough ticket regardless of who we're facing. Save the Dallas game until October or later to build exitement.
