Default Is this the right time to move Portis?

I was watching espn, and they were talking about the Bills RB situation, and how if they want a quality RB now, they would have to package some of the plethora of draft picks they have to obtain one. Does anyone else(besides me) think they should offer Portis to the Bills for a good bit of those picks? A trade similar to the infamous Herschel Walker trade, that turned the Cowpukes into a dynasty is exactly what every franchise(and fan) dreams about. If the opportunity presented itself, dont you think the ability to fill several, if not all of the Skins current and future needs with the movement of one player would be worth it?

    No.. and here's why..

    1. He's Clinton Portis
    2. I don't think his cap number is friendly enough (I'm not sure though)
    3. He's CLINTON FRIGGEN PORTIS!!!

Not at all. Betts had an ok season, but how long was he with the Redskins having average seasons?

Portis is young, has elite skills, a nose for the endzone and the Redskins wouldn't be able to get equal value for him.

the original poster DOES have a point though. yes, we realize he's CLINTON PORTIS........but then again, he was HERSCHEL WALKER. thus, that's what warrants the plethora of draft picks.

Where is Ringtown PA.? Is there a lot of secondhand marijuana smoke out there?
Maybe for Betts but not for Portis. Portis is too exlosive of a player to deal if we have SB aspirations.......

portis is coming off of any injured season. what makes you think the bills are just willing to part with tons of draft picks for a dude who didnt even play last season?

Omg can you guys just shutup and give it a rest!!! Joe Gibbs will not WILL NOT trade Clinton Portis. Just because Betts had a few good games doesn't mean he can replace what Portis could do. Betts couldn't get us in the endzone could he? And fumbled at crucial mopments. Betts is not a franchise back he's decent Clinton Portis is a elite and franchise back. Nuff said

    so was Herschel Walker.

now seriously though, trading portis would be PROactive. everyone knows we don't roll like that. we're REactive.

Nope. No one else besides you.

    Most importantly, not Gibbs.
