Default EX-Cowboy could start for the Skins at LG

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...032601641.html

The Washington Redskins signed veteran offensive lineman Jason Fabini, bolstering their depth.

Fabini, 32, entering his 10th season, played for the New York Jets for eight years before seeing action in 15 games last season in Dallas. He has played the majority of his career at tackle, but likely will see time at guard after the Redskins lost left guard Derrick Dockery to free agency.

Earlier this month, the Redskins re-signed right tackle Todd Wade, who also is expected to compete for time at left guard as well as back up right tackle Jon Jansen.

Fabini did not start a game last year and started just nine in 2005. He did, however, start 16 games during each regular season from 2000 to 2004.

i guess the Skins found thier replacement for Dockery

whatever you say, the post article said he could see time at Gaurd, and I dont think that much of Wade at Gaurd, so its possible.

Fabini will not only make the roster he will see time in more then 1/2 of thier games..... Enjoy it!

the Post says every OL signing MIGHT battle for LG, just like the world might end tomorrow..... but highly unlikely

The Skins didn't sign Wade to the contract they did to be a backup. and if something happens that Wade doesn't start at LG, Pucillo will

Gibbs. and Buges like to have veteran backup OL

but if Fabini can make it to start on the best OL in the NFC East (hell could freeze over), what does that say about the Pokes OL coaching and front office, where they signed him to a bigger contract and couldn't use him, and then paid stupid money for davis... when they could have used Fabini at guard, who was already under contract.

Actually, we found an UPGRADE for Jim Molinaro.

Don't be surprised if Pucillo is the starter.

I never liked the guy, but I suspect we'll have every offensive lineman available in camp...I'd be surprised if he makes the roster.

If he makes the team which is highly unlikely, he will be a backup at best. I think he is just camp fodder or an incentive for who ever winds up as guard to get hustling.
RIP Bubba, you are missed (gone three years March 16th)

What exactly do you think you got in Molinaro? I'm under no illusion that Fabini is good. But he isn't replacing Dock, he's replacing Molinaro. And I guarantee you, Fabini can't do any worse.

Molinaro played great last year, he never let a defender by him!

Oh, NOW I understand why Cowboy fans hate Fabini so much. They payed him millions of dollars last year to come in and solidify their bench.

Don't worry. Our expectations are far more realistic.
