Ok, so these images from the Battlefield 3 "frostbite" engine are still early, but in any case it looks like we will need to be upgrading the PC in a year.

I loved BF1942, BFV, and BF2. I never tried 2142. I saw the trailer for this game and it looks really good, but I hope the humor isn't too lame and over the top like what was exemplified in the video. Screen shots look nice though.

Currently waiting impatiently and idle for Forgotten Hope 2.

I bought it but never understood how to play.

Like at the beginning you chose sides or teams. I picked my team and was supposed to spawn but never did. Tried like 5 times and gave up. Have no idea and still dont. It's somewhere around the apartment. Stupid game.

I guess I'm just dumb or blind. I know how to build computers but don't know how to start up BF2.

Yes Forgotten Hope 2 looks great 9just wish it were out already), I was very skeptical of BF2142, but honestly its really solid I recommend giving it a try, besides the First Strike mod for it looks awesome. I would also recommend "Desert Conflict mod" (remake of DC mod for 1942) http://desert-conflict.org/ for rediculous fun and the "Project Reality mod" http://www.realitymod.com/ for a totally diffrent hardcore game expiriance, it's really great. Probably did not pick a spawn point on the map.....common beginers error.....give it a try again, its still going very strong.

Yeah I got DCon when it was released(last week?). Nothing like running back through lost village or seeing an A-10 flying overhead.. But the textures are still a little weak and it doesn't look like all of the lightmaps have been put in. Plus the lag everyone is getting. This mod will be the shizzle once they hammer out everything.

I think I might look into PR. I like the more realistic type play rather than bunnyhopping/fishflop fest that made me uninstall BF2 in the first place.

Exactly. I remember when I first got BF1942 that's what happened to me. Those damn little white dots were too small! I'll admit it is a little confusing.

Seen the name, check out the PR movies I edited into the previous comment, PR is really brutal,but an awesome expiriance, rounds last forever and you need allot of teamwork,...........for instance a tank 1 driver,1gunner,1guy on the .50 the treads can be taken out but the gun works, the gun can be taken out but the treads work. You need engineers to repair (witch takes awhile)
