Last response I got about the search was in January.
What iritates me is when the political posters come into an OBVIOUS joke thread and either try to turn it into a political discussion.
For example, in this thread, which is obviously about getting drunk for cinco de mayo, AJ and Oakton come in andabout celebrating a Mexican holiday.

OR, they come into a joke thread and try and relate it to a poster on the opposite side of the political spectrum than they are, like this one.

Hey, who gave you permission to talk about YOUR irritants... This thread is about ME and I'm more irritating than the whole lot of you combined... Wait!
That didn't go right... (slinks off)
Another thing I'm tired of: when someone doesn't agree with what you're saying about a particular subject and they say, "Link?"
Actually, truth be told my one irritant on ES is people that don't admit they're nothing more than Democrat/Republican party stooges. Incapable of independent thought.
But they deny it to the end. That's just insulting to our collective intelligence imho.
You know who you are.

The soldiers gave three cheers as they urged their tired horses north across the uneven hills. Some of the mounts, exhausted after a week of almost continual marching, began to lag behind; others, spurred on by their enthusiastic riders, began to edge past the regiment's commander. "Boys, hold your horses," Custer cautioned; "there are plenty of them down there for us all."
That is the worst. Every thread does not have to be political or religious. Its the manipulation of the thing and how people always feed into the original de-railer that kills the thread. Damn buzzkillers.Originally Posted by PleaseBlitz

I've already seen the Seinfeld joke like four times today. Oh, the humanity.
You missed quite a few. There are a few propagandaists that shout really loudly that they're unbiased in their views while constantly pushing one agenda and seeking to twist threads to meet their agenda...Originally Posted by zoony
It's either deception or self-deception. I have no problem admitting that I trend liberal, that's not an all-encompassing label, but I don't shrink from it either. There's no shame in being what you are or sticking up for what you believe (unless you're a racist, Nazi, Pedophile, rapist, or Republican)

Most people are proud of that.
I'm talking about people who won't admit that they're a party stooge. Big difference.

Gotcha... a lot of fun debates have been destroyed because of labelism and adherance to party dogma.
I could go on and on and on about who these guys are, but it may be looked upon as a call out.Originally Posted by Burgold
Yes Burgold, you are a big-time liberal. At least you can admit it.
The best post ever was EersSkins.

Thing is, I love debating with Republicans, especially conservative Republicans not because I want to know how the enemy thinks, 99% of conservatives are not my enemy, but because by really digging through all the different perspectives, reasonings, and insights I get so much closer to a good answer. Mostly, we want the same things... we just have different ideas of how to get at them.
Blind Party hatred is also a good irritant to add to this list.
You know, sometimes I think that racists, Nazis, Pedophiles, and rapists really get a bad rap around here.Originally Posted by Burgold
