Seriously though dont you talk to her ? You should have a little idea of stuff she could use or want potentially. I always buy my mom stuff that she needs but wont admit it.

She said all she wanted me to do was work in her yard for a weekend which I did but I still feel like I should get her something. Every time I ask her she just says she doesn't want anything.

If she wants you to work in her yard--do it!! I have learned that as my parents get older, they do not want any gifts. They just want you around. Maybe you can get her a plant for the yard so when she looks at it she thinks of you.
