Default Great site if you're looking to relocate

Hey gang, I'm probably going to be relocating after my divorce is finalized, so I've been doing some research on where I might like to (read: can afford to) go.

I stumbled across this site this afternoon, and found an unbelievable amount of information there. There's a survey that asks you about your preferences (climate, hobbies, work, cost of living, etc.) and then it shows you the most "ideal" places in the country for you to live.

It does ask for personal info at the end of the survey, but I plugged in a fake name and address and it worked just fine, so no worries there. It doesn't verify your email addy either, just in case you want to fudge that too.

Anyway, thought some of you might be interested. Even if you're not looking to move, it might be cool to see what areas of the country might suit you best...could help with vacation plans or something.

    that's pretty Good.
I have lived lots of places. My faviorate is Annapolis, MD. My 2nd Fav is where I am now. Rancho Cucamonga, with The closest "Big" city being San Bernidino.
Frederick MD is the 3rd place we have decided we would move to if we moved back east.

Those were the top 3 places it gave me!

Fortunately, the company I work for has offices in just about every major U.S. city, and most big international cities, so I should be OK in that department.

I already work about 25 minutes from town. And I live about an hour-and-a-half out. The cost of living in this area is ri-dic-u-lous. With child support expenses, it will be that much tougher for me to stay here.

I'm looking at the Tulsa, OK, area pretty hard right now. Everything I've read describes it as a large city with a small town feel. Cost of living, from what I can find is VERY low, and there are a lot of things to do there that interest me.

Rest assured though, no matter where I end up, I'll have Sunday Ticket if they don't get Skins games.

Funny, I took the quiz and the number one recommended place for me to live is exactly where I am... Charleston SC. Only thing that sucks is that it's a long drive North for my yearly trek to FedEx for a skins fix.

    Little Rock, Arkansas
    Hartford, Connecticut
    Worcester, Massachusetts
    New Haven, Connecticut
    Providence, Rhode Island

Those were my top 5. I'm pretty sure I disagree, but interesting website

H_H, move to Greensboro... Move in with Tarhog, he PM'd me and said he'd love to have you as a roommate....

But the PM is now gone, I think it was a dream...

RIP Blake Fomby... You will be missed... Love you brother. Hope they keep the roof open at Cowboys Stadium so you can still watch them from up there...

LOL. The first one on my list was Norfolk, and the second was Hampton.

I bet if i had put down a higher home price Va Beach would have been first.
    Average is as average does

Dallas is a great city. Forget the sports team........the city is awesome. Fort Worth is a large city that is so laid back.......small town feel.

    You might enjoy it here.

Hmm, I got Baltimore as my top location. I'm not sure what that means.

City-Data.com is a good site for seeing what other people think about an area prior to a vacation or to a move.

I have to say though, I couldn't imagine being an Okie. Known too many of 'em. I think there's a law there that says you have to enroll your children in wrestling at the age of 3.
