on paper, the orioles have an advantage in pitchiing each day
The O's hit well against Bowie, who allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 3 1/3 innings. The O's as a team are batting .471 against Bowie.
The Nats hit Cabrera very well in his only appearence against the Nats last season. Dimitri Young has 3 hits in 5 AB's against Cabrera and a homerun.
_____
Chico has not faced the Orioles
Trachsel beat the Nats earlier this season, allowing 2 ER in 5 2/3 innings. He is 11-6 career against Washington/Expos.
______
Simontacchi lost to the O's earlier this season, allowing 3 ER on 8 hits in 6 IP.
Guthrie dominated the Nats earlier this season, allowing 1 run on 4 hits in 7 innings and 10 K's. Orioles won the game 3-2 in extra innings and a Jay Payton 2 run double in the top of the 11th.
On paper, Bowie is having a better season than Cabrera. Although, he has played 7 less games. I like our 2 first match-ups with Bowie and Chico.
I don't buy it unless you're talking about the Baysox!Originally Posted by TheDoyler23

I crack myself up!
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

You obviously don't know the situation. The responsable party for the new board is the MARYLAND STADIUM AUTHORITY, not the Orioles.Originally Posted by The Nations Team
The contract the Orioles have with the MSA includes the stipulation that the Orioles and Ravens would have comparable technology in their boards. The MSA bough the Ravens 2 HD video boards and wanted to cheap out by buying the Orioles a 1.5 million, substandard board compared to the average MLB stadium and what the Ravens received. The Orioles got a court injunction, keeping the MSA from buying the cheapo board, and it will end up going into arbitration.
We'll take game one.
